    Asked on February 14th, 2026

Could we arrive at 2:00 pm on September 13? When should departure flights be booked for?

    Flights / Transfers
    • Ruby Range AdventureOperatorWritten February 2026

The tour starts officially on September 13 at 6pm with the group meeting at our tour hotel. Therefore, 2pm would be a good arrival time. You can book your return flight for anytime on September 23 as the group will be returning to Whitehorse on September 22 in the evening.

    Asked on January 29th, 2026

How would that work for me as a solo traveler?

    Accommodation
    Group size
    Single supplement
    • Ruby Range AdventureOperatorWritten January 2026

As a solo traveler, you have the option to choose between shared accommodation (room/tent) and single accommodation (+single supplement fee). For shared accommodation, we would pair you up with another single female guest for room and tent. All our canoes are 2 persons canoes and you would paddle with a partner as well. In case of an uneven number of participants, our guides paddles solo, but never the guests.

looking at a group of 6 from Scotland. What level of fitness/expertise do we need and what kit list is required? I don't like the heat/sun so looking towards cooler period of year but not equipped for winter conditions-appreciate your suggested time for travel.

    • Ruby Range AdventureOperatorWritten August 2025

From what you are sharing, I would recommend either looking at dates at the beginning or at the end of our season. Even if our summers are very moderate (15-25 C), you might enjoy the temperatures more in June or end of August. Here are our dates for June and end of August: 31.05.-10.06.2026, 23.08.-02.09.2026, 13.09.-23.09.2026. At the moment, we still have 6 spots available for all of these departures.

    • Ruby Range AdventureOperatorWritten August 2025

Our paddling days range between 6-8 hrs/day, so depending on weather and wind it can be physically demanding. For the Teslin River, you don't need specific canoeing skills and will receive an introduction at the beginning of the tour.
