Well presented and organised and would do again. The overall cost is very reasonable with accommodation and additional tours were good and enjoyable.

Overall, it was a good adventure. The City Tour was interesting with an excellent guide, Tracy. That was a bonus for the trip. I learned a lot about Yellowknife and the NWT. The Explorer Hotel was very good and a convenient location for pickups & some walking to downtown. The airport shuttles were most appreciated. The delivery of my rental clothing was perfect- in the closet when I arrived a night early. A couple of suggestions - It would help to have the packing list earlier. I could have done some comparison shopping and planned my packing better. The Aurora Village was a good experience, but additional aurora experiences would be a plus. As it was, I skipped one of the Aurora Village nights and went on a cabin viewing experience ( Bucket List Tours) that was a lot of fun and one of the highlights of the trip. I felt like part of a "herd" getting ready to go to the Aurora Village. Once there the "herd" spread out and the smaller groups were appreciated. It was a bit frustrating and delayed to get communication to and from Landsby having to go through Tour Radar. Finally in the end Landsby came through more promptly.

Best time to visit Yukon and Northwest Territories
- Spring 2026
Spring brings milder temperatures to our aurora tours. The Vancouver departure package is particularly good value - you'll fly over the Coast Mountains on your way to Whitehorse for nightly aurora viewing from heated shelters. Our guides explain the science behind the lights and help sort out camera settings. During the day, you can explore historic sites around town and add optional trips to spots like the wildlife preserve.

- Summer 2026
Summer means endless daylight and ideal conditions for getting active outdoors. Our hiking tours take on trails like King's Throne in Kluane National Park, with clear views of glaciers and alpine lakes. Canoe options range from day trips near Whitehorse to proper river expeditions on the Yukon, where you'll learn traditional paddling and camp under the midnight sun. Families love the Nisutlin River trip's relaxed pace with plenty of fishing and evening campfires. The bigger tours combine Tombstone Park hiking, Dawson City gold rush history and also First Nations cultural visits.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Fall tours mix summer activities with early aurora chances. You can take scenic flights over Kluane National Park, paddle the Yukon River, soak in hot springs and maybe catch the Northern Lights too. The Yukon Wildlife Preserve is particularly good this time of year - the animals are active and easy to spot against the autumn colors.
