    Dave

    Asked on March 4th, 2026

Is there any opportunity for dog sledding? Also is there chances to see polar bears, whales, wildlife in general? Is march a good time to see aurora light? What's the highest latitude we would go in this tour?

      Dave

      TravelerWritten March 2026

Also, what time would we get back to whitehorse on the last day?

    • D

      Dave

      TravelerWritten March 2026

What time do i need to arrive by on the first day?

    • Arctic Range AdventureOperatorWritten March 2026

March is a great month to see the Northern Lights up there. There is a good chance to spot wildlife such as caribou, wolves, coyotes, foxes along the way...maybe even polar bears in TUK.

The tour goes all the way up to Tuktoyaktuk (TUK), DMS Lat: 69° 26' 43.2888'' N.
On day one, we recommend arriving in the early afternoon as there is a group 'Meet & Greet' at around 3 pm and a City Tour afterwards.

On the last day we suggest booking a post night in Whitehorse as the flight from Inuvik to Whitehorse usually arrives in the afternoon at around 4 pm.

Is the march 20 trip a guaranteed departure? Im interested in booking for those dates. Also, do i need special downjackets and pants/shoes?

    • Arctic Range AdventureOperatorWritten March 2026

Unfortunately, the March 20 departure is not guaranteed as we haven't reached the minimum of guests yet to be able to operate this tour.
However, we'd still have availability on our guaranteed departure March 13, in case you are flexible with your travel dates.
