I'm interested your Jewels of Hanoi, Sapa and Halong Bay - 7 days tours but I purposely picked low physical intensity. This one looks packed with activity including canoeing, biking, kayaking and hiking. I've never been kayaking. Are these all done on a beginner level? Can I opt out of some activities if I'm tired?

Only you can know and feel what you can do. Our tours are designed to be flexible, and we prioritize your comfort above all else. Kayaking & Canoeing: If you have never been kayaking, don't worry! The waters in Halong Bay are generally very calm and sheltered. It is a "soft" activity designed for beginners. If you don't feel like paddling, you can choose to sit on a traditional bamboo rowing boat where a local rower does all the work for you, or you can simply stay on the large cruise ship, enjoy a drink, and take photos of the scenery from the sundeck. Hiking & Biking in Sapa: In Sapa, we have various trekking routes. If the main group is doing a steeper hike, we can often coordinate with your guide to take a flatter, more paved path through the villages. If you feel tired, you can absolutely opt out of any activity. Your tour guides will take care of you and be patient with you. They can arrange for you to relax at a beautiful mountainside café or stay at the hotel/homestay to enjoy the view while the others trek. Our guides are experts at reading the energy of the group. If you're not up for a bike ride or a long walk, just let your guide know. Take a rest. We will provide an alternative (like a short vehicle transfer or a relaxing spot to wait). We want you to go home with beautiful memories, not sore muscles!

Could you please advise if booking 1 room 4* for 3 people does the 3rd person have an actual bed or do they sleep on sofa or trundle bed

When booking a 4-star room for 3 adults, the bedding for the third person depends on the specific hotel's availability. It will typically be one of the following: A proper single bed (in a fixed Triple Room). An extra rolling bed (a standard hotel extra bed with a proper mattress). Please rest assured that it will not be a sofa bed or a trundle bed. We always prioritize the comfort of our guests to ensure everyone has a proper bed for a good night's rest. If you have a specific preference, please let us know so we can coordinate with the hotels to provide the best possible arrangement for your stay.

Is the journey on the boat relatively choppy water or smooth water. I tend to get sea sick with being on a boat if the water is too active.

You'll be happy to know that Halong Bay is well-known for its calm waters. It's a sheltered bay, so the water is very gentle and not choppy at all. You shouldn't have any issues with seasickness during your cruise.

Can I find out the following: What will be the average tour group size? Will it be the same travellers for the group throughout the tour? Are the hikes in Sapa difficult and what fitness level is required?

The average group size ranges between 8 to 16 travelers, creating a comfortable and sociable atmosphere throughout the tour. Yes, in most cases, you will be traveling with the same group of fellow travelers for the entire itinerary. Regarding Sapa, the hikes are moderate and designed for all fitness levels. The trails pass through scenic villages and rice terraces with some gentle slopes and uneven paths, but nothing too strenuous.

What should travelers pack for the tour?

It is recommended to bring comfortable clothing and shoes, a raincoat or umbrella, sunscreen, a hat, and insect repellent.

Where can I find photographs or information about the cabins on your boats I have limited mobility and cannot manage steep stairs

The boat cabin on the sea is like a hotel room on the land, and it is easy to access the cabin on the boat without any limitations

I am planning to make this trip to Vietnam, on September or October but my only worry is that we don't meet at Hanoi airport and I am lost. I come from Cyprus and is very long flight. If you assure me that there is not such possibility I will be ready to do the trip.

Hanoi’s bustling Old Quarter and rich history set the tone, then we headed to the stunning mountain landscapes of Sapa. I'm interested your Jewels of Hanoi, Sapa and Halong Bay - 7 days tours but I purposely picked low physical intensity. This one looks packed with activity including canoeing, biking, kayaking and hiking. I've never been kayaking. Are these all done on a beginner level? Can I opt out of some activities if I'm tired?

  Kayaking & Canoeing: If you have never been kayaking, don't worry! The waters in Halong Bay are generally very calm and sheltered. It is a "soft" activity designed for beginners. If you don't feel like paddling, you can choose to sit on a traditional bamboo rowing boat where a local rower does all the work for you, or you can simply stay on the large cruise ship, enjoy a drink, and take photos of the scenery from the sundeck.
  
  Hiking & Biking in Sapa: In Sapa, we have various trekking routes. If the main group is doing a steeper hike, we can often coordinate with your guide to take a flatter, more paved path through the villages. If you feel tired, you can absolutely opt out of any activity. Your tour guides will take care of you and be patient with you. They can arrange for you to relax at a beautiful mountainside café or stay at the hotel/homestay to enjoy the view while the others trek.
  
  Our guides are experts at reading the energy of the group. If you're not up for a bike ride or a long walk, just let your guide know. Take a rest. We will provide an alternative (like a short vehicle transfer or a relaxing spot to wait). We want you to go home with beautiful memories, not sore muscles!

Could you please advise if booking 1 room 4* for 3 people does the 3rd person have an actual bed or do they sleep on sofa or trundle bed

  When booking a 4-star room for 3 adults, the bedding for the third person depends on the specific hotel's availability. It will typically be one of the following:
  
  A proper single bed (in a fixed Triple Room).
  
  An extra rolling bed (a standard hotel extra bed with a proper mattress).
  
  Please rest assured that it will not be a sofa bed or a trundle bed. We always prioritize the comfort of our guests to ensure everyone has a proper bed for a good night's rest.
  
  If you have a specific preference, please let us know so we can coordinate with the hotels to provide the best possible arrangement for your stay.

Is the journey on the boat relatively choppy water or smooth water. I tend to get sea sick with being on a boat if the water is too active.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before November 20th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after November 20th, 2026, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with Legend Travel Group. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
