We would especially like to thank Danny, who was truly amazing throughout our entire experience. He was always attentive, patient, helpful, and available whenever we needed him. He took the time to explain important things about Vietnam, from understanding the local currency and how to handle money to giving us useful tips and guidance that helped us feel comfortable and confident, even during the time we spent exploring on our own.
The tours were also excellent. Everything was very well organized and thoughtfully arranged, and we could really feel the care and attention to detail throughout the entire experience.

After Hanoi and the Halong Bay cruise we flew to Ho Chi Minh City for Cu Chi, then followed the water through My Tho, Ben Tre, Can Tho, Chau Doc and Tra Su Sanctuary into Phnom Penh and on to the Angkor temples at Siem Reap.
Hotels, boats and food were so good throughout. The river days felt unique and the border crossing was well organised. We are so happy with the mix of cities, delta life and temples.

We travelled through Vietnam from Hanoi and Halong Bay to Hoi An, My Son, the Hai Van Pass, Hue, Ho Chi Minh City, Cu Chi and the Mekong Delta at My Tho, then continued to Thailand for Bangkok, the Damnoen Saduak floating market, Phuket and Phi Phi Island. The pace felt complete without being exhausting.
Luckily we met lovely people – Danny Nguyen and his team – who organised everything with care. Hotels were in really ideal locations, close to the main sights yet comfortable for rest. We felt safe while travelling the whole way, from busy cities to the cruise and the islands.
The mix of culture, nature and beaches worked perfectly: temples and ancient towns in the centre of Vietnam, river life in the south, then markets and sea in Thailand. Guides and transfers were reliable every day.
We highly recommend this 18-day itinerary to anyone who wants Vietnam and Thailand together with good support and well-placed hotels. It was a memorable, well-balanced trip and we would book with the same team again.

Even so, it was easy to combine sightseeing with relaxing.
We started with two days in Hanoi, then the overnight cruise on Halong Bay, flew to Ho Chi Minh City for the Cu Chi Tunnels and a peaceful Mekong Delta day, and finished with time in Saigon. The pace never felt exhausting.
Danny is a great guy – so helpful and kind whenever we needed anything. Thank his team as well for the smooth transfers and support.

The guides were professional, transfers were on time and the experiences felt well organised and genuine. We enjoyed the city, the history and the river day far more than we expected from such a short stay.

If you do not have so much time – less than two weeks – but still want to visit Phnom Penh as well as the main highlights of both countries, you should book this tour package. The pace is efficient without feeling empty, and the combination of cities, bay, delta and temples gives a complete picture.

We started in Hanoi and trekked in Sapa through Cat Cat, Lao Chai and Ta Van villages, then enjoyed extra days in the capital before the Halong Bay cruise. The night train down to Hoi An was an adventure, and we loved the ancient town, My Son Sanctuary, Ho Chi Minh City, Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta at My Tho. Crossing into Cambodia, Phnom Penh and the Angkor temples in Siem Reap were the perfect ending.

We began in Hanoi and explored Ninh Binh (Hoa Lu, Tam Coc and Mua Cave) before the stunning Halong Bay cruise. Then came charming Hoi An, My Son, historic Hue, lively Ho Chi Minh City with Cu Chi and the Mekong Delta at My Tho. Crossing to Siem Reap for the magnificent Angkor temples was a highlight, followed by Bangkok’s floating market and temples, and a relaxing finish in Phuket with a day at Phi Phi Island.
The itinerary is perfect, we think – a well-balanced mix of nature, culture, cities and beaches without feeling rushed. Local teams worked very hard for us every day and always stayed helpful.

We started in Hanoi, enjoying the lively Old Quarter before taking the stunning overnight cruise on Halong Bay. Then came one of the highlights: the mountain resort in Mai Chau, which offered a really good view of the surrounding hills and rice fields – peaceful, green and perfect for relaxing. After that we had a good overnight train experience from Hanoi down to Da Nang, which added a fun and authentic touch to the journey.
Hoi An’s charming ancient town with its lanterns and riverside atmosphere was lovely, and we finished in energetic Ho Chi Minh City. Despite the affordable price, the itinerary covered so much of Vietnam – from the north to the centre and south – without ever feeling rushed.

The central part of Vietnam is full of UNESCO Heritage sites: charming Hoi An, the ancient My Son Sanctuary and imperial Hue all felt special and well preserved.

In just seven days we experienced the perfect mix of culture, nature and adventure. Hanoi’s bustling Old Quarter and rich history set the tone, then we headed to the stunning mountain landscapes of Sapa. Exploring Cat Cat Village and the ethnic minority villages of Lao Chai and Ta Van was a real highlight – the terraced rice fields, friendly locals and fresh mountain air left us in awe.
Returning to Hanoi for a city tour before the overnight cruise on Halong Bay completed the journey beautifully. Cruising among the limestone karsts and waking up to the peaceful scenery of the bay was pure magic.

We started in the vibrant capital of Hanoi, enjoyed a magical overnight cruise on Halong Bay, then continued south through the charming ancient town of Hoi An and the imperial city of Hue before reaching lively Ho Chi Minh City.
The Mekong Delta section around Can Tho was fascinating, but the absolute highlight was entering Cambodia via the Mekong River from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh – an unforgettable and unique experience that felt authentic and special. From there we explored Phnom Penh and the magnificent temples of Siem Reap, including Banteay Srei, before finishing the adventure in Thailand with time in Bangkok and the beautiful beaches of Phuket.
Every part of the itinerary was well-paced and full of wonderful discoveries. Legend Travel is the best local organisation to bring the best experience to you. Their attention to detail, friendly support and smooth arrangements made the whole trip effortless and enjoyable.

After discovering Legend Travel on TourRadar, we decided to book with them – and we have absolutely no regrets.
From the moment we arrived in Ho Chi Minh City, everything was carefully organised. We explored the lively streets of Saigon, the peaceful Mekong Delta, charming Hoi An with its lanterns and My Son temples, historic Hanoi, and the breathtaking overnight cruise on Halong Bay, which was truly awesome. Continuing to serene Luang Prabang in Laos, the magnificent Angkor temples and Tonle Sap Lake in Siem Reap, vibrant Bangkok with the Damnoen Saduak floating market, cultural Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai with the Golden Triangle, and finally the beautiful beaches of Phuket and Phi Phi Island – every destination was a highlight. Phuket in particular was awesome for relaxing at the end of such a long journey.

Hanoi offered excellent local food and a great introduction to the country, while the overnight cruise on Halong Bay was simply stunning – the limestone karsts and emerald waters were breathtaking.
Hoi An’s charming old town and Hue’s imperial history were real highlights before we reached busy but fun Saigon. Exploring the Mekong Delta around Can Tho and Chau Doc felt authentic and peaceful. Crossing into Cambodia, Phnom Penh and the magnificent temples of Siem Reap (including Banteay Srei) left us in awe.
Bangkok provided a lively city contrast, and we finished with perfect sunny weather in Phuket – ideal for relaxing on the beach after such an action-packed trip. The whole itinerary was well-paced and full of memorable experiences. We would highly recommend this tour to fellow British travellers looking for a complete Southeast Asia adventure!

The Mai Chau Valley was a highlight – so peaceful and authentic. The only small issue was the road near Bakhan Village being under construction, but the area itself is incredibly beautiful and well worth the journey.
A huge thank you to Danny Nguyen and Viet – your team tried so hard and made everything run smoothly from start to finish. We felt well taken care of every single day.
