However, please note that because there are no direct flights between Pakse (Laos) and Phu Quoc Island (Vietnam), traveling between the two requires 3 short connecting flights: Pakse to Siem Reap, Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh City, and Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Quoc.

      Is there an easier beach extension with simpler transfers? Can you propose Don Khone Island instead for around 4 nights without changing the return to Pakse or Luang Prabang?

While Don Khone is located on the Mekong River rather than the sea, the island offers a serene, beautiful water vacation experience with palm trees, peaceful river beaches, waterfalls, and relaxing riverside resorts. You would remain conveniently close to Pakse for your international departure flight. We would be delighted to add 3 or 4 extra nights in Don Khone Island to the end of your 13-day Laos itinerary.

      We highly recommend Sihanoukville / Koh Rong Islands in Cambodia. Reaching the Cambodian coastline from Pakse requires only 2 connecting flights (instead of 3): Pakse to Siem Reap, and Siem Reap to Sihanoukville. From Sihanoukville Airport, you can either relax at a coastal beachfront resort or take a short speedboat ride to the tropical beaches of Koh Rong / Koh Rong Sanloem.

    I'm looking at your 13 day Laos package for me or June this year. When I look at what's included, the description tells me the internal flight is, but then directly underneath it it says it will need to be paid as a separate fee when we get there. Surely it's either included or it's not? I imagine an internal flight may not be very costly, but the $770 plus fee for the flight plus guide costs seems incredibly expensive. From what I initially look like a great tour, I'm feeling this is now not very good value. Can you please correct me if I'm wrong.

    I am curious if I could forego doing the elephant thing in Luang Prabang and instead have a cooking class...I don't support elephants in captivity. I do want to see the waterfalls, and wondered if I could see that in the morning, and then spend the afternoon learning how to cook Laotian food. Let me know if this is possible.
