From the vibrant streets of Hanoi to the stunning Halong Bay, the charming lanterns of Hoi An, the imperial beauty of Hue, and the rich culture of the Mekong Delta — every stop was unforgettable. Ho Chi Minh City was especially lively as preparations for the 50-year reunification anniversary made it crowded but full of energy and excitement. Despite some traffic, we had so much fun.   I overly enjoyed the trip and especially the work of the subcontractor: Legend Travel Group. Highlights were Hoi An and Halong Bay. I nevertheless recommend to make some changes to the itinerary: the two days in Mai Chau were not in Mai Chau. Mai Chau is a destination figuring in the Lonely Planet guide book as a place to go. The trip sends us the Bakhan village resort. Bakhan village is nowhere close to Mai Chau. Even though the resort is comfortable and employees are nice, there is nothing to do or see in Bakhan. If the real Mai Chay cannot be put on this trip, Ninh Binh should be the place to go instead. Hoi Ann is close to one of the best beach in the world. This should be mentioned in the activities to do in Hoi An. Ba Na hills is a tourist mill: large crowds taking selfies front of fake European medieval structures. This should be taken at face value and probably avoided all together. The drive from Hoi A to Hue went through very scenic spots. However it was apparently not possible to stop where all other tourist buses stop to let people take pictures of Da Nang and the South China Sea. The only stop made on the trip was where the guide and driver got free food at a tourist store in a valley below the mountain range. A little disappointment came out of this. Hired guides should be more receptive to requests. Cu Chi tunnels, Mekong and Hue tours were great.Show more

Ba Na Hills: This site is indeed a popular tourist attraction known for its unique structures and entertainment value. While it may not offer historical authenticity, it provides a different kind of enjoyment. We understand this may not be to everyone’s taste and will ensure future travelers are well informed. 4. Beach in Hoi An: Your suggestion to highlight the proximity to one of the best beaches is excellent.   Excellent tour of Vietnam with Legend Tours. Good mixture of cultural and natural elements with interesting add-ons like the visit to Phoenix and Unicorn Islands in the Mekong Delta. Some variability in the English language skills of tour guides. Some with good English and good commentary about local cultures, history and the like. Best tour guides were in Mai Chau and Ho Chi Minh. Hue and Hoi An were mid-level English with stronger accents making it difficult to understand the commentary at times but provided reasonable details of history and culture. English and commentary of tour guide in Hanoi was very limited and poor with only limited comments made at each major site and none in between. Accommodation was generally excellent except for Mai Chau which was average and not 5 star but more 4 star. However, this was changed at last minute due to unavailability of stated accommodation when we booked. Majestic Saigon was majestic on the outside and in the foyer and restaurants but rooms were a bit tired and things did not always work requiring maintenance when we were stayed. Consideration of another more modern 5 star could be considered by the tour operators in the future. Only other suggestion for improvement was that too much time spent at imperial tombs in Hue and only 15-20 minutes for a very quick walk through in the Dong Ba Market in Hue. Most on tour in Hue would have liked to have had a little bit more time to look around the Dong Ba Market and less time at the tombs in Hue.Show more

  Legends was an exceptional company to work with. There is a lot of sight seeing packed into this trip so be ready to get going! I had some trouble with my visa to enter Vietnam and the team was very flexible - they were able to reschdule my trip two different times. There were a lot of moving pieces so I know that couldn't have been easy but Danny was so great and never made me feel bad about it. I also learned in the middle of my trip that I would have to return home 3 days early. (Only a 14 day trip! :,( ) But again, Danny was extremely accomodating and did everything he could to reschedule my last few days with as much of the tour as he could. I was so grateful for all my tour guides and Danny. In regards to the tour itself, the vibe depended a little bit on the tour guide and the other travellers you were with. All were great in their own ways. All the hotels (and breakfasts in particular) were also great. Especially the resorts in the Bakhan Village and Hoi An! My favorite guide was Mr. Na Lee in Hue City. He knew a lot about the religious symbolism of the cultural artifacts and places we visited, whether from Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucianism, etc. He went above and beyond to create a good experience, even when he was technically off work. The only small con on my trip was that I noticed some of the drivers (not the tour guides) were checking or using their phones while driving. That may be normal in Vietnam (I'm not sure) but it was a little nerve wracking sometimes. At any rate, I could not recommend this company enough!Show more

  Professional organisation to guide us through our holiday in Vietnam!!! The people of the Legend group were very helpful in any way especially Tony who was at our location in Hanoi. We could ask any question and he would help and guide us or try to solve any problem at hand. The information we were given about the trip was clear and the transportations from airport or trainstation to the different hotels or to several scenic sites (when we had an excursion) was good. So we were very pleased with the performance of the Legend group.Show more
