From the second we landed, everything felt alive — the energy, the colors, the constant movement of scooters flowing like organized chaos. There’s something about Vietnam that makes you feel both grounded and wide awake at the same time.
The food alone is worth the flight. Every bowl of phở tasted fresh, layered, and comforting in a way that hits your soul. The bánh mì? Unreal. Crispy, savory perfection. And the Vietnamese coffee? Strong enough to wake up your ancestors. I don’t think I had a single bad meal the entire trip.
But what really made the experience special were the people. Warm, kind, patient — always ready with a smile. Whether we were navigating busy night markets or asking for directions in broken Vietnamese, everyone made us feel welcome.
The scenery was next-level. One day you’re walking through vibrant city streets filled with lanterns and music, and the next you’re surrounded by peaceful landscapes that look like they belong in a painting. Vietnam has this beautiful contrast — modern but deeply traditional, fast-paced but incredibly spiritual.
There’s also something powerful about the history. Visiting museums and historical sites gives you a deeper appreciation for the resilience and pride of the country. It makes the beauty mean even more.
Most of all, this trip felt meaningful. It wasn’t just sightseeing — it was connection, culture, perspective. The kind of trip that reminds you how big the world is and how much there is to learn from it.

Mudsum heaven boat tour was nice but this whole tour just felt like you would have been better iff just booking everything by yourself. You would only book this for sheer

The drivers arrived on time ( sometimes early)- if there was any delays Danny told me ahead of time. Tour guides spoke good English and were more than willing to answer any questions we had. Danny is a great coordinator; however, some of our tours in itself were underwhelming, very touristy, or just unclear on expectations. For example in Sapa, we signed up to trek.. which we greatly enjoyed. BUT the trek should’ve been marked as hard, considering we needed assistance in getting down the mountain (like straight down the mountain), with no trail and ankle deep mud. I will also take into consideration, during the time we were in Vietnam it was holiday- so many things were closed. We enjoyed it overall, Danny was great as a coordinator. If we had to make a change, it would’ve been the cruise.

My partner and I booked this tour and enjoyed our time in Hanoi. Special mention to Danny who was very attentive and patiently answered our questions. All the tour guides were really great and very professional in handling matters.
Favorite part of the tour: Halong Bay, closely followed by the Mua Cave hike.
Favorite Tour guide: Henry (I wish I could remember what tour company he was working with but he is our tour guide for the 2nd day). He was such an entertainer!

Vietnam was great. This was not a tour that we did as a group who travelled together. We did different visits and activities with different people and often met up with them along the journey. We were a bit disappointed at first as thought we may tire of each others company 😂 but it actually worked very well and we met some amazing people.
Travelling through Vietnam was an absolute joy and we enjoyed all of it - if I was doing it again I would not catch the overnight train as it was the most basic and the toilets horrendous, but hey its all part of the experience I guess 😂!
The hotels were all acceptable but looked a bit tired and neglected (our trip was soon after tourism opening up after the pandemic).
The guides were hit and miss - some were great and some did not speak enough English to be offering English speaking tours.

Travelling at 74 and doing my first solo trip overseas I was a little apprehensive but Legend Tour Group were absolutely fantastic. Everything was meticulously planned, from airport pick ups, hotel bookings, internal flights and our daily tours and any feelings of apprehension I had very quickly disappeared.
Danny was our main contact if any problems arose and was very responsive to any communication. I lost a small piece of jewellery in Hoi An, which I did not discover was missing until I got to Ho Chi Minh City. Expecting it to be lost forever I decided to contact Danny anyway and he was able to locate the jewellery and had it mailed by express to my hotel in Ho Chi Minh City next day. So grateful and still can't believe it was found. Thanks again Danny.
Some people did come in and out of this tour if they wanted to go and see something else and how Legend coordinated all this with everything still running on time is an absolute credit to them. It was interesting meeting different people along the way.
We travelled in clean, comfortable, airconditioned buses with excellent drivers. The tour guides were also very good and knowledgeable with Alex from Ho Chi Minh City so much fun and he even sang a song to us. Go Alex!
Sometimes there could be a problem to understand what a guide was telling us but it was easily overcome when you let them know this, they would stop and explain again until we understood properly. We need to remember we are in their country and English is not their first language so they do an amazing job.
I did upgrade my hotels in Hanoi and Hoi An and am glad I did. In Ho Chi Minh City I stayed at the Elios hotel but did upgrade my room type. As the Elios hotel is in a very busy area it can be a bit noisy at night on the weekends, but on the plus side it is only a short walk to the markets ant there is a great beauty salon very close by that does amazing massages and facials.
When I reflect back on this tour I can't believe how much I have seen and done in 10 days without ever feeling rushed at anytime. I really liked the the free time we had as well. Such an amazing tour and I highly recommend Legend Tour Group to anyone wanting to visit Vietnam. Thank you all.
I was disappointed with Legend because the organisation has been poor, especially in Hanoi. The guide for the city tour spoke English but could hardly be understood. Furthermore the people booked on the same tour weren't actually on the same tour... Different boats at Halong Bay and booked on different flights. Very disorganised. They didn't stick to the itinerary and didn't notify us the things have changed.
I'm very disappointed and would not recommend anyone booking with Legend.

We are writing to thank you for the unforgettable experiences we had in all three countries from the first moment we set foot in Saigon to the last moment when we departed. Legend is a company we would very highly advise people to consider when planning to travel to South East Asia. Legend is well run, organized, efficient, very responsible in carrying out their duties to tourists and it hires knowledgeable guides and drivers who are safe and reliable. We had a secure, safe and worry-free time mainly because of the staff on the front lines that Legend has hired to do the day to day work with travellers.
Danny Nguyen, based in Hanoi, is one of the key employees. He has direct contact with the guests before we arrived and at any moment during our tour. He immediately solved any issues in a timely, clear and efficient manner. He is a unique, remarkable individual worthy of much praise. He is the face and voice of Legend in Viet Nam and is so well placed to make sure that Legend’s reputation is solid and sure day after day, hour after hour. He was available for people at all hours of the day and evening to problem solve; his communication skills were clear and immediate; he was consistently solution focused and very approachable. Danny is a highly responsible, hard-working, knowledgeable employee who puts the needs of his customers first. He is strongly motivated to do his duty in making their time in his country smooth and enjoyable. He is committed to his company and to the tourists that Legend serves. Danny is patient, adaptable, honest, flexible and duty oriented.
As guides we had Wonne, Tony, Vannak, Sem and their drivers. They were amazing and so understanding. They were organized, punctual, ready to answer all questions and make adjustments to accommodate the different needs of tourists. They are knowledgeable and informed and very well trained to handle a wide range of personality types and unpredictable circumstances. The vehicles were well maintained and the driving was always safe. They made certain that the tourists were safe when we were climbing steps and getting on and off boats. They were there to help and guide. We were well cared for and felt at ease on our journeys. In every way, they were highly professional.
In summary, Legend Travel Group is a very trustworthy business. We heard compliments and positive statements being made about the company and Danny and the guides many times over from tourists on our tours who were from India, the UK, Denmark, New Zealand, Australia and Canada. Legend is a reputable company with front line employees who are dedicated and professional in every way. There are some whose names unfortunately we are not able to remember. However, we are very able to remember how, without exception, every Legend employee we met made us feel. There is no price that a company is able to put on that standard of performance.

My wife and I were bit disappointed with some of the accommodations and ended up by ourselves in the Phu Quoc island for the remainder of last four days I would have appreciated if that was explained …My wife and I were bit disappointed with some of the accommodations and ended up by ourselves in the Phu Quoc island for the remainder of last four days I would have appreciated if that was explained to us in advance, however we would like to mention your tour guide Tuan in Hanoi and Tin Tin in Ho chi Ming did an excellent job for us but the one in Hoi an needs more training other than that we were exiting to be in Vietnam to take in the culture and get to know the diversity of your wonderful country and we met some great families as we were there.

Mr. Danny and his team sorted this issue promptly for us without a significant delay with the tour. Every day was a new adventure. From the long boat ride to the temples and then over to Phuket which is simply stunning. Our full day boat trip snorkeling above beautiful coral reefs with tropical fish in beautiful green waters. Just incredible!! Pack very lightweight clothing, it's hot and you'll only get to wear things once. Totally safe to walk everywhere and the TukTuk's are readily available at a good price.

Legend Travel and Tony did an excellent job organizing our trip. Everything was well arranged, and the excursions were enjoyable with generally good English-speaking guides. All excursions started on time. The hotels were of mid-range quality but comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic vacation. It's worth noting that Cambodia now has a new airport, so please keep that in mind when planning your trip.

We toured Vietnam with Legend travel in September 2022 it was one of our most memorable vacations it was very well organised from start to finish the hotels we stayed in were all excellent as were the guides and drivers a particular thank you to the guide we had for the first part of the trip in Hanoi the Halom bay cruise was excellent as was the rest of the trip to Que and Danang my only regret is that we never got as far as Ho Chi Min another time hopefully

Couldn't find much to fault with the whole process. the office is quick to communicate and changes can be made to the length, dates and what you do almost up to arrival time. The main hotel we stayed at in Hanoi is clean and utilitarian - breakfasts are disappointing but, if you take the Halon Bay cruise, the food is fantastic - as are the ships and the whole experience.
Hanoi itself is amazing and a real feast for the senses: get a suit made; buy some 'genuine reproduction' designer gear; eat well and soak up the energy - we loved it. Be prepared for a tourist extravaganza on the cruise. You are herded through the various sites but it's all about the photo, right? Well not for me, but you can instagram it to death and make everyone envious of your fabulous holiday quite easily! I'm only saying this with a slight tongue in my cheek - it was a fantastic trip and these guys do everything.

We saw a lot of places and really enjoyed our trip. It was excellently planned, the schedule hold and transportation were always on time. Especially We liked the boat trip in Halong Bay and our mini beach holiday in Mui Ne. We`ll be back in near future.

We booked 2 weeks Vietnam trip in August. We didn't know what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised straight after landing in Ho Chi Minh City. Our transfer to the hotel was ready, even the flight time was silly morning hours. Our guide was waiting for us at the hotel reception to help us to check in and take us through our daily holiday plan. All excursions and transfers were well organised and on time. Some guides were difficult to understand, English must be improved tho ;-). Big thank you to all excursion guides for their knowledge and passion of Vietnam history and future. Special thank you to Tom, he is really good guide! we got so much information about history and present life in Vietnam, we could tell how much he loves his country and wants to share it with the clients, we had amazing time. Big thank you to Hannah, our Hoi An guide. We loved every minute farming and cooking with her, she is great fun! We absolutely recommend Legend Travel Group to everyone as #1 Tour Operator in Asia!

Tony Bui arranged for us ideal location properties where my kids could reach the beaches conveniently & safe! He provided us huge connecting door rooms along the trip with seaview from windows. Breakfast in hotels were delicious, they served until 10 am. Everything was on time, good communication, always ready to help an support. One point of contention was the tour guides for the day trips. Especially knowledge about the subject and proficiency in English.
They where all really enthusiastic but did not meet the standards we expected. Not a big problem but I thought I should mention it.
We did thoroughly enjoy all the day trips.

We came as a mother and daughter duo and everything went very smoothly! We decided to upgrade to 5 stars hotels along the trip. To be honest, it`s much more than our expectation! Hotels & resorts are beautiful! Staffs are so nice, friendly, delicious breakfasts daily! We didn't have to worry about transportation or hotels. I'd certainly recommend if it's your first time to the country. Halong Bay and the Cu Chi tunnels were the highlights of our trip and are a must.
We would def use them again in the future!

We are two attorneys from Milwaukee. Legend Travel Group handled our land arrangements for 12 days in Vietnam and Cambodia. It was great.The itinerary was terrific (we did not have to double back at any point), the price was reasonable, and the trip came off precisely as described. When we had a communication hiccup about our hotel mid-trip while in the Mekong Delta, Legend Travel responded right away and resolved the problem. When the road from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap was slowed by flooding, Legend recommended an inexpensive flight instead. This ended up giving us another half day to tour the Angkor Wat temple complex.This travel agency provides good service and is reliable.

I wanted to begin by saying that the online service provided by Legend Travel Group was quick and responsive during their business hours (Vietnam time). They were clear and answered all of my questions before and after I booked the tour. Before the tour started, the sales rep that was handling my account messaged me and suggested an alternative to the second day of the tour presuming that since i had family in HCM City (based on prior conversations) if my party might want to change our itinerary and venture out of HCM to see another city with a unique story. My family appreciated their suggestion and we accepted the new itinerary. All of the accommodations and transportation were organized as promised.
On the first day, the driver was on time and drove us to the intended destination (family's house not hotel as requested by me weeks prior to the start of the tour). My family and I got ourselves to Liberty Parkview Hotel Saigon when it was time for check-in. Process was simple, just show your passports. The hotel room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast buffet was great so I am glad it was a two-night stay there. The second day we joined a group of 8 people (including tour guide), we all had lunch together before being dropped off at the hotel again. The third day, a driver picked us up to head to the airport to fly to Hanoi. Upon arrival, the next tour guide and driver gave us a private view (dependent on your arrival into Hanoi) around the 36 streets/wards of Hanoi before being dropped off at Viet View Hotel Hanoi. The hotel room was smaller than the first, but it had all the essentials. The Hanoi guide was very informative while explaining the history of the city. We felt comfortable with this guide as he was friendly and helpful when it came to our questions.
The next day was our trip to Ha Long Bay where we would meet the next & final group as we traveled by shuttle bus to the city of Ha Long. We liked our new guide too, he was full of character & very accommodating with us. The staff of Garden Bay Cruise was lovely and were great hosts. We felt respected and noticed all of their efforts in making the guests feel comfortable. The rooms were surprisingly spotless and food was much better than expected. I won't spoil the little surprises and experiences on board, but just know that we had a wonderful time & the cruise was our favorite part of the tour.

I have no idea what could be done better.As a single woman, I felt very safe and comfortable at all times. This is certainly also in this wonderful country with the friendly and helpful people as well as in a perfect organization. It was great.The itinerary was terrific (we did not have to double back at any point), the price was reasonable, and the trip came off precisely as described. When we had a communication hiccup about our hotel mid-trip while in the Mekong Delta, Legend Travel responded right away and resolved the problem. When the road from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap was slowed by flooding, Legend recommended an inexpensive flight instead. This ended up giving us another half day to tour the Angkor Wat temple complex.This travel agency provides good service and is reliable.

Accommodation was OK in some stops, better in others. Pick ups and drop offs were on time. A LOT of ancient history and very little of current day recent history. Majority of Tour guides spoke poor English which made the excursions frustrating. Itinerary was changed without notice (eg swimming ban in Halong Bay was known about but we werent notified). Ho Chi Minh tour to war museum and Cu Chi tunnels was disappointing as our tour guide rushed us through (eg 2 hour drive to Cu Chi tunnels, 30 min visit to tunnels). Everyone ended up leaving the guided tour to go do our own thing. In hindsight, we would have had a far better holiday not on a tour.

This is a very good tour group, they are on time, take you right where you are supposed to go. Friendly people!! It's a nice little quick package to Vietnam. The only thing is that they dropped you around 4:00 everyday and you were on your own for the evening. Which is fine for a little on your adventure, but I would have preferred a little more guided activities before the end, maybe leave us at 5:30 and pack one more tourist attraction in. But the itinerary is clear and they did exactly what they said they would do, and it was awesome!! Thanks!

The schedule is set but if you want to make other arrangements they do, without a bother. Chu Minh Thang has been fabulous as she has been with me from the beginning of the booking process! I had an unfortunate situation occur at my first hotel, and Minh worked out alternate arrangements no problem for me. The drivers and guides have all turned out to be fabulous and extremely knowledgeable of the areas they are in. The bonus to having local, English speaking guides! Before I left Canada I was curious how the transition was going to work with pick ups and groups etc. But so far it has been excellent, very well executed! If you like group travel with independence, this tour company is perfect for you!!

I was less satisfied with the coordination in Bangkok. Accommodation and ride from and to the airport in Bangkok were awful. I liked Phuket though and
did enjoyed snorkelling in Phi Phi Island.

The accommodation was very good and in some places we had a superior room. InLuang Prabang we had 3 nights in a top rated hotel.
The driver was excellent and at no time did we feel unsafe despite some of the roads being uneven and bumpy to say the least. The 9 hours drive from Phonsavan to Luang Prabang was very arduous due to the majority of the road being hairpin bends and winding. Luckily the minivan that we had was top rate with water and wet hand towels provided. If you are prone to motion sickness take travel tablets as 2 of the days involve travel on very winding roads. Having said that the scenery is magnificent and it’s something not to be missed. I would say that the itinerary was very interesting and varied and the trip to the elephant village was a particular highlight. There you are able to ride an elephant with no howdah. they use no seats or hooks or sticks, just sit on top of the elephant with the mahout and he just gives verbal instructions to get the elephant to walk down into the river. It’s the most amazing experience for about 45 mins. We then had a jungle trek to a village where we had lunch in the shamen’s house and were able to wander around the village to appreciate their way of life. Another trek for a couple of hours to the Tad sae waterfalls. ( dry due to the season) . This 8 day tour combines city, culture, history, nature and trekking and I nearly forgot the half day Mekong river trip in Luang Prabang that takes you to Patou caves which was a delightful experience in itself. A varied mixture well put together with good accommodation and attentive guides and driver.

In all it added to a lot more than if I had done the tour myself. My advice to other travellers would be to just book Myanmar on your own because its a lot cheaper and you get better hotels. My first hotel had roaches and I decided to shell out extra money to get a better hotel in Yangon.
The guides were very nice but their english was limited. The one that I hired for my hiking was much better and I would rather get my own guides than go with the company. Myanmar is waay easier than I thought it would be, so take my advice and skip this tour.

It was easy to communicate with the office staff before the trip and Mr. Danny was very helpful (and responsive) when we had some issues once we were on the tour itself: when a storm canceled our Ha Long Bay trip, Mr. Danny extended our stay in Hanoi and set up alternate tours for us as well as keeping us updated when one of our guides in another city was running late.
In Hanoi and HCMC the daily excursions were with larger groups rather than a private tours like Hue, Hoi An, and Phu Quoc. Legend Travel finds local providers for the tours (and airport pickups) and most of the guides have a deep knowledge of their tour sites and had a decent to excellent ability to communicate in English with us. Tours often included lunch but tended to be at slightly whitewashed tourist style. I may have been a little picky/critical since I grew up with Vietnamese food.
The hotels we were booked at were mostly good to quite excellent and in walking distance of local attractions. We were in different hotels than listed for Hanoi (decent hotel) and HCMC (poor experience) so keep in mind that the tier of room may differ from the hotel's descriptions. The breakfast included on the schedule was the hotel breakfast buffet.
I imagine that we would have been able to book and build our own tour with some savings but that would require a lot more time and legwork so we were very happy with what was included in our tour package.

We enjoyed a city tour of Ho Chi Minh, the Cu Chi Tunnels, the Mekong River, flights to Hanoi, airport transfers, and an amazing overnight trip to Halong Bay staying with Majestic cruises. This also included the 3 1/2 hr drive each way to Halong Bay. They staff on the boat were fun but don't expect a proper tai chi class in the morning. The kayaking was fantastic and overall we had a great time. Indochina Legend Travel also arranged some other domestic flights for us which made our trip very easy. It was also fantastic value. Our travel consultant in Hanoi, Miss Hanah Pham was extremely helpful and easy to contact via email. We also spoke to other tourists when we joined in their tour of the Mekong and they were also very happy with their travel experience with Indochina Legend Travel.

The only issue we had was on the day we were to take the bus from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh. We were not picked up from the hotel like we were told and despite, several emails from Melissa and Cathleen questioning our Vietnam visa, our visa was not correct which meant we were delayed and stuck in Phnom Penh.

The only thing we wished we would have made time for was exploring/ shopping in the Old Quarter. The children lived the water puppets and we all enjoyed the cyclo ride. The stay at the Sofutel was perfect- comfortable and family friendly.
The Ha Long bay cruise was amazing. The staff, service, and food in the boat were exceptional. The staff on the bait went above and beyond for our children and we appreciated their help and friendliness.
Our time in Saigon was nice as well, TinTin was a fantastic guide with a great sense of humour. We liked the day on the Mekong. We felt that the lunch restaurant was a little run down, the table clothes were dirty and the surrounding garden was junky- but the food was enjoyable. The hotel was ok- a little outdated and not to our standard of 5 star/ but we are greatly appreciative of your efforts to make our family comfortable and happy.
Our time at Angkor was perfect and our guide, Lei was kind enough to bring us for lunch straight away as the visa process was very long. Le Zmerufuem was s lovely choice and our stay was very comfortable- I would recommend other travellers to stay there.

When we shared our displeasure and asked to be moved, they basically told us “too bad.” We had to spend our own money to get a decent hotel and the company did nothing about it. Ultimately this tainted our experience and I wouldn’t use this company again. That said, Thailand itself was amazing and I can’t wait to return!

The tours themselves were very good. The guides did everything within reason to accommodate us and adjust the tour to our liking.
The hotels were good. The first hotel in Phnom Penh was excellent. The one in Siem Reap was very dated and not in an area that was very walkable to the surrounding area. We would have much rather had accommodations in a city center vs hotel row type area.
While we essentially had a private tour, we were looking for interaction with others in this tour.
Overall, I’d give them an 8/10 score - primarily for the hotel issue.

In the different hotels we stayed at, the staff was excellent, and the breakfasts were very good. The different restaurants where we had lunch were also excellent. The tour guides from Legend Travel Group are very passionate about their work, and the bus drivers are very courteous.

Pool of water with loads of people from 10s of other similar boats ,the last island where we spent more than 1.5 hr with100s of other people was a major rip off for drinks and even charged 100 bhat to use the toilet. .The guides ranged from good to excellent. We were a small group of 3 people and so we were able to make changes. There was a mishap early on when the other 2 people decided to ignore an agreed time to meet and the guide did not insist that the people make the agreed upon meeting time. This infuriated me since I had to wait in the heat while the guide did nothing. The guide in Chiang Mai was lovely. There was no guide in Phuket. Transitions to and from the airports was seamless and well organized

Our Hanoi hotel location was good but our initial room assigned was not a 4 stars hotel standard. The room is small and window is small and facing another room's window just a few feet away. We had to pay US$30 extra per night ( negotiated down by Legend from $50) to get a room with real exterior facing window. Our upgraded room was great. It was the best room in this hotel.
Hai Long Bay overnight boat stay was great and tour was great. However, it was too crowded visiting the caves. Too many tourists.
Hoa An was great. Our tour guide was very helpful and arranged a side trip per our request to spend the open afternoon in Da Nang and great dinner arrangement. Loved our added side trip.
HCM hotel was good and location good. Guide was great. HCM tour was fun and our tour guide offered us a non political history of the city.
Overall, our trip was great and memorable. I would recommend our trip itinerary to our friends but must add DaNang side trip for the open afternoon in Hoi An.

Every day trip guide was friendly and knowledgeable with a special shout out to our Bali guide Kedung and driver Ketut, who couldn't do enough to accommodate us while in Bali.
The itinerary is full on most days and the only thing I would do differently is plan a trip that gives me a bit more more time to explore the cities on my own.

The changing tour guides and fellow travelers were always very friendly and helpful. They were able to tell us a lot about the sights of Vietnam.
The fellow travelers were also very nice and we were able to talk to people from different countries. The program was extensive. Sometimes we wished we could stay a little longer in one place, but we only had two weeks. If you can take more time off, you can certainly spend more time in Vietnam.
In any case, we will always have fond memories of this round trip through Vietnam. The Vietnamese are a lovely people and we always met friendly and helpful people.

The food was a revelation: eight different Vietnamese dishes to try in the first meal alone! Having two or three days in each city/area gave enough time to relax and explore between the planned events, and we were taken to some museums/places that I would never had thought of doing or have had time to had I been on my own. As a solo traveller I felt very much part of the group. I am also pleased to say that Legend Travel Group are very responsible ethically. There was no question of using the poor overworked horses that pulled the ‘tourist carts’ for example: we either walked or had alternative non-abusive transport arrangements made for us. May I just pass on my thanks to Danny at Legend Travel Group for an absolutely amazing holiday, and I will definitely be booking with Tour Radar again. Highly, highly recommended!

This is the first tour I tried. I won’t be doing one again. The best part was the people on the trip. We had a good time on our own in the evenings. At the end of the day, they take you to places where locals try to sell you things. After a few day trips, I decided not to do more. I preferred discovering the cities on my own and staying clear of the tourist traps. That said, the logistics were good. The buses and cabs always showed up on time. In summary, if you want a 10-day school field trip, take this tour. If not, motorbike and discover on your own. You will not experience the goodness of Vietnam on this trip.

It makes it really fun to meet new people every day. One day I was alone on my mountain retreat overnight stay and was able to practice Vietnamese and listen to fun music with the driver during our 2 hour trip back to Hanoi. Like a private tour!! A few small glitches, but overall I consider TourRadar an amazing budget travel company. I just signed up for my 3rd tour with them to Japan.

The places that the so-called tour went to is a good itinerary. However, Sapa felt really rushed and not worth the 11-12 hours there and back on a bus with strangers and a driver who spoke no English. The tour of Hanoi was a bit too ambitious and didn't give enough justice to a couple of places. We didn't even make it to the Hoa Lo Prison.
I assumed I would traveling with a set group of 12 but this was not the case. My travel buddies changed on a daily basis. Traveling alone, i would have preferred a more stable group.
Halong Bay was lovely and the perfect amount of time for me.

1. Please consider dividing the time between 2 countries equally. Itinerary in Cambodia was very rushed and jammed back, definitely needed more time but Vietnam program could have been condensed.
2. Both Tour guides in Cambodia definitely spoke better English than those in Vietnam, some of those in Vietnam were lovely but very difficult to understand.
3. All hotels were brilliant / excellent in terms of rooms, accommodation and facilities but food at La Vella hotel was terrible, breakfast buffet, and dinner at both restaurants. Also breakfast buffet at Angkor village hotel was substandard for a five star hotel.
4. All hotels were excellent but koi resort and La Vella were not ideal in terms of location. Would be great if there’s a five star resort in city Centre like Majestic Saigon.
5. Tour guide at Hoi An and Hue could have been better. I’m sure the tour group has designated a certain budget for the set menu for lunch with some minimum standards. On the first day, he took us to a very basic local food joint for lunch with even worse toilet facilities .
Second day, probably someone complained as there was a significant improvement.
6. Not sure if certain tour guides subcontract and get others to deputize for them.

This was difficult because you never make a connection with anyone. I absolutely hated it. Then you stick me at a resort in the middle of the jungle a five minute drive from the jungle. I paid for four star and the last two resorts were 2 star if they are lucky. Revolting. I would never recommend that anyone travel with tour radar. Revolting.

Hotel selection was good, with very comfortable, well located accommodation throughout the tour.
All In all a most enjoyable holiday experience - we would definitely use them again and would recommend them to friends

The tour guides were extremely courteous and helpful, specially in Cambodia and Laos.
Danny does/did a very good job organizing transportation and the tour overall. He was able to arrange alternative travel mode/re-book airline when the regularly scheduled flight was canceled.
Overall, we had a positive experience and would like to recommend this company for future IndoChina tours and individuals and/or groups.

Overall highly recommend if you're the type that likes to visit touristy places and have a long day of activities.

I spent the first few days frustrated and alone with no one to speak to or hang out with. Some guides were great about giving me suggestions, maps, etc to help me entertain myself in the evenings since I was new to the countries I visited. Others could have done better. Also, having my internal flight details would have been beneficial instead of having to ask in the heat of the moment when asked for it at the airport.
Danny was great at organising so much. He was very responsive and helpful the whole way. My guide in Luang Prabang was amazing. Made my experience so much better with his attentiveness, flexibility, and arranging the itinerary to meet my needs, including the suggestion to include the train ride to Vientiane.... saving you all from the loss of my flight ticket. I honestly think you should add this into the itinerary instead of another flight. It was amazing and one of my highlights. All hotels were great. I enjoyed all the daily adventures and also really enjoyed the free time to explore on my own. Would be helpful to have some add on options... (ex. I would have loved to have seen an Opera performance but they were sold out. I was told to wait until I arrived so I missed out on the opportunity.)

At Halong boat cruise ..deck furniture was broken...they did help me with no fish meals..many did not eat there fish as was not cook thru..Sung Sot Cave we did not visit(It was one of 2 main events for booking this trip..no explanation given) There where several let downs in hotels and some excursions..with putting my concerns to Danny and Tour Radar some problem s were resolved. In Chau Doc the hotel Trung Nygen was 2 flight stairs up to a room I could not even sit on the bed and no place to have a meal...we book ourselves at Victoria Hotel...our tour guide was helpful in getting us there...money out of our own pocket(boat to Cambodia we could see from the delightful room) Tour guide Red and driver were excellent..great answer and conversation...the dinner show was excellent.Vietnam and Cambodia pic up at airport to and fro were excellent. Thialand pic up at airports and tours were very poor(no one spoke English and told wait then we would have to help ourselves) We arrived in Phuket after am flight at 1130 am(we started at 6.30 am no breakfast at hotel prior to leaving and no food at airport to buy) We found our non English speaking driver who drove us to our non English speaking tout driver who only said get in the vehicle .We join 7 other tourists . 2 pm (still no food or water.I insisted on water...we received... he ignored our need for food and no where to buy any)..His English words for us were Budda and meet baby elephant....I had a copy of the agenda for this days tour so I was able to tell our fellow tourists what we were seeing.The Budda and panoramic few was great.All on tour were upset visiting a 2 year old Baby Elephant in a small cage area who was chain to a pole(copy this I will send and report to National Geographic )...doing a bee farm...gem store...Portugese area(area smelt like a sewer) each of these spots poor. I recommend maybe the Elephant sanctuary would have been a worthy trip. To our hotel 7 pm(still no food today) Trip to Phi Phi island... o one spoke English..on the boat I found an English speaking tour guide who was very helpful and informative and saw that we did not get lost.The Asians in all our hotels were pleasant and doing what there job capabilities were.But my Canadian standards were expecting to be in 4 star rooms..one was and enjoyed..the rest I learn to only use water bottles provided as I watch housekeeper rinse my coffee cup and dry it with hand towel l had been using .

Many waterfalls, don't expect a lot from your stay in vang vien. The hotel was average, but rhe Plain of jars is very important to see. All other hotels are nice.
