  Let me preface this by saying I rarely do tours and I am a seasoned traveler. I gave this a go because my friend I was travelling with preferences using a tour, and we had both had good experiences with Intrepid before. So there is some bias in that I don't like the average kind of tour experience at baseline. So, overall it was okay - but the review is hard to make because this isn't really a single tour like if you go with a company like Intrepid. We gave it a chance because it had great reviews, but maybe we like different things to the average tourist. It's actually a bunch of smaller local tours and guides strung together by Legend acting like a coordination agent. 7 days is a bit of a short time frame for a south to north visit that has a cruise and two flights with a lot of long drives. A very large portion of the holiday was spent in transit, and that is not good value for money. I would suggest considering this when picking tours - it's my biggest lesson. Pros - The transport was generally fast and reliable and our main agent Danny even offered to provide an airport transfer a day later since we were staying in Hanoi an extra day on our own. - Our Saigon tour guide Tin Tin had good English and was informative. An hour isn't enough time to visit the museum though. Cu Chi tunnels are a must visit, but the laquer painting place felt like a human cash cow experience. Annoying lady there followed me around the shop so much I left without buying anything despite actually looking for a gift for my girlfriend. - Hoi An cooking class was excellent. I was least interested in this when booking but it turned out to be a highlight. The chef was informative, we learned cultural things, and actually made about 5 or 6 dishes that tasted great. - Hoi An walking tour was a waste of time - just walk me to the town and leave me to explore. Not very informative, taken to a bunch of old homes to buy shit we don't need, felt pressured to keep moving when I'm taking pictures (photographer on this trip for photos mostly) despite it only being my friend and I on the tour. Same experience at My Son Sanctuary but it was at least more informative and our tour guide was genuinely nice. Probably once again, I'm spoiled here as I did an ancient ruins tour in Pompeii and Herculaneum in Italy and it was with an actual archeologist. Big difference in learning stuff. - The pearl farm on the way to Halong Bay may as well have been a large gas station, which is what we stopped at on the way back. No issue with that, jsut don't dress it up like it's an exciting piece of the itinerary.... - The cruise was the most disappointing part, despite the staff being great and good being nice. I don't think Vietnam is ready for this kind of tourism. Our tour guide was....not needed. His English was stressfully bad - which isn't something I worry about when travelling since I speak one language myself, but when its a paid Tour guide for English speakers.... There wasn't really a tour. Very little on the itinerary was available or happened. We were on a smaller boat. No fishing village. No cooking class (which some other travelers said was basically just making spring rolls), no board games (which was bad since my friend forgot hers and only I brought a book - there was bugger all to do on the boat). The Kayaking was average. Tour information was like "this is limestone, this is a piece of dried coral" - interesting for the least worldly travelers only. None of the experience was objectively bad - just really quite boring. Go to Thailand of Philippines or Indonesia or Australia to see beautiful seascapes, beaches, and reefs. - Hanoi was my fav part, and this was the part where we stayed an extra day on our own without a tour. Absolutely visit Hanoi but if you are a seasoned traveler, just avoid tours, do a bit of research and explore. Good tour for non seasoned travelers, who have patience and and are totally new to Asia - you should feel safe and have a decent experience. Not a good choice for those who has spent a lot of time experiencing Asia already - it will feel like limited value for money spent - just shell out the extra money for Intrepid or put the time into planning yourself.Show more

  Overall great service by Legend Travel Group! The pick-up was always on time and the guides were friendly and had good English speaking skills. We really enjoyed the trip although we didn`t have so much time, just 7 days but we could visit all 3 main cities of Vietnam (Hanoi, Hoi An & Ho Chi Minh City) Thanks Legend Travel Group who created perfect itinerary for travelers, people don`t have so much time like us but want to visit more places!Show more

  This has definitely been a great experience for my brother and I. We booked this tour last minute due to Japan's strict entrance requirement unsure if our reservation would be accepted. Luckily it was! Upon booking, I quickly got in contact with Dani who made the required arrangements for pickup in Ho Chi Minh City. My brother and I got to see and do the top experiences in Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi without having to think about any logistics. The hotel location were to our surprise in superb location conveniently located walking distance from other iconic and touristic activities. The organization of activities and built-in free time allowed my brother and I to partake in structured activities and to wander exploring both cities. Had we not done this tour, I think our impression of Vietnam would not have been nearly as awesome as Danny and his team made it out to be. Because of this tour, my brother and I decided that we want to travel back to Vietnam and explore more of what the country has to offer. I've been raving to my friends about this tour because so much was accomplished in such little time. Thank you very much Danny for such great tours, activities, communication and planning.   I took this tour in November. Overall it was okay. Last minute changes to tour and i was on private city tour on Ho Chinh Minh which means tour finishes early. Flight booked from saigon was 8pm and tour guide drop me at 3pm. So have to wait long at airport with no many facilities. Reached Hanoi at midnight(all food shops get closed) as flight was delayed too by 1 hour. Went to hotel and slept straight away. Halong Bay was good and cruise was fantastic. Drop back at airport on time. Overall it was average. For next time if i choose then i will try to be part of making my itinerary too as they make for us. Tony incharge at legend travel was very helpful and tourist friendly. Will come back to visit sapa.Show more

We got the report from Tour Guide already! In the same day you visited Mekong Delta in the morning then you went straight to the airport! As you know, Traffic in Saigon is not really good so we had to book the flight for you in the evening in order to avoid missing the flight because of traffic! It is very risk for you if we booked the flight more on time because we couldn`t know what happen if traffic jam! Beside that, your flight was also delayed which both of us could not control! I do hope you understand the situation! We`ve done all our best for your satisfaction! Thank you for everything! We wish you and your family all the best!
