7-Day Vietnam Tour Packages
Halong Bay at sunrise with those limestone karsts poking through the mist - yeah, it's as good as it looks. Cycling past rice paddies in Mai Chau where farmers wave as you pass, then exploring the Cu Chi Tunnels which are tight, dark, and fascinating. Hanoi's Old Quarter is chaotic in the best way, kayaking through Ninh Binh's caves is peaceful, and the Mekong Delta's floating markets start early but they're worth it. Vietnam in seven days goes fast.

7 Days in Vietnam, incl. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City
Vietnam's highlights unfold across 5 cities in this weeklong tour. Hanoi's Temple of Literature, Halong Bay cruise on La Pandora, Tam Coc's caves, and Mekong Delta's waterways await. Accommodations include Tirant Hanoi and Queen Ann Ho Chi Minh City.

- Day 1
Hanoi Arrival and Old Quarter
Land at Noi Bai International Airport and head to your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter. A recent traveler shared: "The fascinating Old Quarter at your fingertips makes exploring the city incredibly convenient." Book an afternoon arrival to skip Hanoi's heavy morning traffic. Your first evening is perfect for walking through the night market streets or trying your first bowl of pho at a local street stall.

- Day 2
Hanoi City Highlights
Start your day at 8:00 AM to get ahead of crowds at Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Remember the mausoleum closes Mondays and Fridays, plus yearly from June 15-August 15 for maintenance. Visit the Temple of Literature and the Vietnam Ethnology Museum before heading to Tran Quoc Pagoda on West Lake after lunch. One visitor suggests: "The Temple of Literature provides incredible insight into Vietnam's educational history - arrive before 9 AM to avoid tour groups."

- Day 3
Ninh Binh Day Trip
Leave Hanoi at 7:30 AM for the 2-hour journey to Ninh Binh. Your day includes Hoa Lu ancient capital and a peaceful sampan boat ride through Tam Coc's limestone caves. A traveler advises: "Cycling through the rice fields was magical - but bring water and sun protection as there's little shade." You can skip the bike ride and relax in the village if you prefer. Back in Hanoi by early evening.

- Day 4
Halong Bay Cruise
Take the 4-hour morning transfer to Halong Bay and board your cruise around noon. You'll spend time kayaking, swimming if weather allows, and exploring caves. A recent guest notes: "The sundeck offers the best views during sunset - grab a spot early." Bad weather might cause last-minute cancellations. Pack light since cabin space is limited.

- Day 5
Halong Bay to Ho Chi Minh City
- Day 6
Mekong Delta Day Trip
Start at 7:15 AM for the 2-hour drive to My Tho in the Mekong Delta. Your boat trip takes you through Delta channels with stops at fruit orchards and local workshops. One visitor noted: "The honey tea and coconut candy tasting was a highlight." You can also cycle through Tan Thach village to see authentic rural life. Return to the city by evening.

- Day 7

The next morning visit a floating fishing village before heading back to Hanoi.

- Day 7
Mountain Trek & Return to Hanoi
7 Days in Vietnam, incl. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City
This cultural tour encompasses 7 destinations including UNESCO-listed Halong Bay cruise, Mai Chau Valley's Bakhan Village Resort, and Cu Chi Tunnels. Traditional performances, Mekong Delta boat trips, and stays at selected properties like TK-123 Hanoi Hotel highlight the journey.

- Day 1
Hanoi
Land in Hanoi and settle in. The trip from Noi Bai Airport to the city center takes 45-60 minutes. "Danny from Legend Travel was great at making sure I got from Point A to Point B, especially not knowing the language." Spend your evening walking the Old Quarter's winding streets and trying local street food.

- Days 2-3
Halong Bay
Take a 3.5-hour drive east to Halong Bay. Board a traditional junk boat for an overnight cruise among the limestone karsts. "The whole experience was memorable, especially Halong Bay." A tip: pack a small bag for the cruise since large suitcases are hard to manage on boats. Next morning, visit local fishing villages before heading back to Hanoi in the afternoon.

- Day 4
Mai Chau Valley
Travel to Mai Chau Valley through Hoa Binh City. Consider taking motion sickness pills as the roads can be rough. Some interior roads are still under construction in 2023. Take afternoon walks through villages with beautiful valley views. Stay at Bakhan Village Resort and watch traditional dance shows in the evening.

- Day 5
Mai Chau to Ho Chi Minh City
- Day 6
Cu Chi Tunnels
Take a trip to the Cu Chi tunnel network (75km, 1.5 hours each way). It's optional but worth it. "The excursions were SO much fun, and the planning behind the itinerary was so well organized." Wear clothes you can move in if you want to explore the tunnels. Later, tour the city's Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office.

- Day 7
Mekong Delta
Leave at 8 AM for My Tho in the Mekong Delta (75km south). Visit Vinh Trang Pagoda and take boat rides to islands known for local crafts. You'll be back in Ho Chi Minh City by late afternoon. Some guests wanted more time: "I would have liked another day or two." Still, most people liked how much they got to see.

What people love about 7-day Vietnam tours
- Simply Vietnam In 7 Days by Realistic Asia
We booked a tour through Vietnam with several different areas over a 7 day span. Everything was incredibly well organized and pretty seamless. From airport pick up and drop offs to transport to areas of interest. This company communicated very well, from booking to end of trip - letting us know when to expect pickup and any documentation that we needed prior to leaving the states. Highly recommend this company for any tour services you are seeking.
- Best of Vietnam from Saigon to Hanoi 7 Days - Super Save
Fantastic 7-day Vietnam adventure! Loved Ho Chi Minh City buzz, My Tho Mekong boats, Hanoi streets, Halong Bay cruise magic and Mai Chau valley peace. Perfect culture-nature mix. Highly recommend!
- Best of Vietnam from Hanoi to Saigon 7 Days - Super Save
Fantastically arranged 7 day tour that ran like clockwork from the moment we arrived. Shout out to Mr Danny for being on hand with anything we needed. Well located hotels with friendly staff. Airport pick ups with no fuss. Tour guides (Tomi, Tin Tin and Ang Ho) brilliant, great local knowledge and super helpful. I travelled in January, not particularly warm in Hanoi, so the night in the Mai Chau wellness retreat was very quiet - would be amazing in the summer months! Might be a seasonal option with an extra day in Hanoi instead for the quieter months? I would thoroughly recommend using Legends Tours to anyone who wanted to experience Hanoi and Saigon - both amazing places.
