March through May is when Southern China really comes into its own. The Longji terraces transform into shimmering water mirrors as farmers prep their fields, and our travelers can't get enough of those misty morning views over the karst peaks during Li River cruises. Tiger Leaping Gorge trails firm up nicely after winter - just right for those 4-6 hour daily walks. Up in Vietnam's northern edges, the Ha Giang loop opens up beautifully too. Our customers particularly enjoy staying with Dao families and kayaking the clear waters of Nho Que River this time of year.
