Thanks for your feedback. We choose a hotel for a tour, first we will consider the location because we do think it is far more convenient to stay at center. As you have already experienced, the hotel in Guilin just at the Zhengyang pedestrian mall, and hotel in Yangshuo is just opposite of the West street in the downtown. And according to our experience, those two hotels are the top ones the tourists want to stay, either Chinese or foreigners. In October, it is still hot in Southern China. And the hotel provided mosquito-repellent incense liquid. You could use it in order not to be bitten by mosquito or bug. And I have checked with hotel, no one got bitten by bugs during those days. So we are sure you might be bitten outside as there were lots of trees, grasses and besides the river when you went cycling by yourselves. The hotels both in Guilin and Yangshuo have been recently renovated. According to our experienced for more than 10 years, we sent many groups and also FIT to stay at this hotel continuously, we always got positive feedback, great location, good rooms, and friendly service, etc. No one has complained that hotel did not have a fridge. Not all hotels provided a fridge in China, even at a 5 star hotel. As you might know, Guilin and Yangshuo are far less developed than in Beijing as you stayed in Beijing hotel before this tour. And fridge in Guilin DID only for refreshing and after your complain, we have already set a new fridge to your room. I do not think it is necessary to state clearly that the hotel have or have not a fridge as it is not the most important to travellers. And for almost all the tours on OTA, they do not mention whether the hotel has a fridge. The most important is enjoying or experiencing a different culture other than your home Iran or Canada. On the last day to Guilin North station, the guide also asked you about the feedback. You did enjoy your trip and your wife give all 5* ratings except the hotel with 3* rating.

    • Truly China TravelOperatorWritten February 2026

As it is currently the low season for inbound tourism in Guilin, there are no other bookings for your preferred date yet. If you don't mind traveling alone, you may proceed with the reservation, and we guarantee the tour will operate as scheduled.

    • Truly China TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

Following the conclusion of this tour, you may proceed to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Please note that there are no direct flights between Guilin and Zhangjiajie, so a connecting journey is required. We highly recommend taking the high-speed train for a more convenient and comfortable trip: there are two daily services from Guilin Station, with the first departing at 14:38 and arriving in Zhangjiajie at 22:06. Regarding your itinerary, two full days in Zhangjiajie would be insufficient to fully experience its stunning scenery. We suggest an extended stay of at least 3 days and 2 nights to allow you to explore the park's highlights at a leisurely pace. After your Zhangjiajie visit, you can then take a flight directly to Hong Kong.

    • J

      Jerry

      TravelerWritten January 2026

If using a high-speed train would you be able to organise a guide to get into train station so we will not be lost because we had a bad experience when we went from Chengdu to Shanghai where the previous travel agent just dropped us to train station and not shown us and guide us to the gate inside. and the barcode was not working (there were two gate normally in train station, one is at the front when you enter train station and one is when you about to board the train, and with previous experience the second gate knocked back my husband ticket as the staff did not communicate between one to another in that train station), It would be better if guided at least until the check in gate to the train station Guilin. Does Zhanjiajie airport fly to Hong Kong direct? 4nights would be great in Zangjiajie

    • Truly China TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

We absolutely can arrange a dedicated tour guide to accompany you all the way to the boarding gate at Guilin Railway Station for the high-speed train. Our guide will handle all the entry procedures, verify your tickets/barcodes, and walk with you to the platform gate, so you won't have any confusion or issues like your previous experience. We'll double-check all ticket information in advance to avoid any barcode or gate verification problems, and the guide will stay with you until you're ready to board—this service is specially arranged for your 2-person group for peace of mind. Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport has direct flights to Hong Kong International Airport operated by Greater Bay Airlines (Flight HB873), with a flight time of just 2 hours and 15 minutes. The flights run regularly, and we can book the most convenient departure time for you after your stay in Zhangjiajie. We're also happy to arrange 4 nights in Zhangjiajie for you—this will give you plenty of time to explore all the stunning scenery at a relaxed pace, no rushing at all!
