My wife, and I along with our daughter and granddaughter would like to take this tour. My granddaughter is only 12. Can she go with us. It would be a tour for the lifetime and she is very mature for her age.

Sadly, our Barcelona to Rome tour has a strict minimum age requirement of 15. For traveler's under 15, we do offer our "Family" style tours or Galapagos cruises that offer as low as 5 years.

Could you confirm hotel for your starting tomorrow? I may not be in Barcelona until 6:30pm so if case likely miss the welcome meeting but if the host could advise where they are going for dinner?

I'm just really curious about the age restriction. Like why 15? Only asking bc we have done tours w/several other tour companies & they had no problem with children.

Do you think taking a suitcase is acceptable on this trip? 4 wheeler?

On this trip, you must pack as lightly as possible because you will be expected to carry your own bag and although you won't be required to walk long distances with your luggage (max 30 minutes), we strongly recommend keeping the weight under 20kg. Smaller bags or backpacks with wheels are convenient although we recommend your bag has carry straps. You'll also need a day pack/bag to carry water and a camera etc for day trips.

However, I felt the tour itself was way overpriced for what it was. I’m used to group tours having extras/experiences and felt this was just travel (all public), accommodation and the guide. I’ve paid have the price for group tours in Europe with same duration but multiple extras/activities. I also felt the accommodations were average, some above some below so it wasn’t as if that made up for it. I really do not know where the $7k went which is disappointing. I’m on my 7th group tour now and all others have made me feel I got real value for money.Show more

I loved the format of this tour. Vinni was an excellent guide and managed our expectations and timeframes beautifully. He was flexible where we requested more time, but also very clear in maintaining our schedule so that we never felt rushed despite being constantly on the move. This trip included so many beautiful destinations. On reflection we have been unable to pick a favourite part as it was all so beautiful. We particularly loved Vinni's guidance on where to eat, and our group dinners were very enjoyable. Vinni's enthusiasm for the Barcelona-Rome trip, and life in general, was infectious and he did a fantastic job keeping us on track and on time - our group bonded really quickly under his guidance and we tended to stick together even on our free days which I think is testament to Vinni's ability to create a great group dynamic. For the price of the trip I was surprised to see 2 star hotels and how little was included in the program.The hotel in Arles was particularly low quality and the rooms smelled of diesel.While I would imagine that visiting Ribes de Freser, Carcassonne and Arles may be good at high-season, in April they felt like absolute ghost towns.Most stores and restaurants were closed for the shoulder season and there was not much to do there.On the other hand, Nice felt completely rushed and there was not enough time to see everything.Show more

  To be honest there can be many factors as to why they set the age limit. It can be an insurance issue that they run into, they may not think some of the activities are suited towards people that young etc.
