  Overall i enjoyed the tour very much. However, some of the hotels were subpar. For example, the service in the Rocamadour hotel was terrible. More importantly, in certain great cities like Limoges and Marseilles, we got there around 7:30 pm with everything closed. we should have visited a Limoges factory and had time to shop there, but no, got there too late in pmShow more

  * Too many castles and cathedrals: Trying to cover the whole country meant a lot of historic sites. Honestly, after a while, it felt like "too much of the same thing," and I got quite exhausted. * Craving more nature: The highlights for me were definitely the few natural spots we visited. They were absolutely beautiful, and I really wished the itinerary had included more nature and fewer buildings. * The absolute worst part (Bordeaux River Cruise vs. Lourdes): The Bordeaux river cruise was a complete waste of money and time. At €30, it was very expensive, yet there wasn't a single minute of scenic views worth enjoying. I highly recommend skipping this cruise. Instead, the tour should have skipped it to arrive earlier in Lourdes. I absolutely loved the Sanctuary, but because we arrived late, I didn't have enough time and couldn't see everything, which was deeply disappointing. * Frustrating logistics (Changing buses and groups): During the trip, we had to change buses 3 or 4 times, and our tour group kept changing, which was very confusing. In particular, having to move all of our luggage to switch buses right after lunchtime was incredibly inconvenient. * The Guides: Before the trip, I was worried about the language barrier, but thankfully, there was a professional English-speaking guide. We had three guides on our bus, though despite the number of staff, I didn't really feel looked after or catered to. * A tip for Paris (Do it independently!): I highly recommend exploring Paris on your own rather than through a package tour where the hotel is located in the suburbs. Because the accommodation was so far out, we wasted so much time commuting and ended up losing money from having to take multiple taxis. It’s much better to book a central hotel independently.Show more

  Good overall, although a few stops were problematic, Aramanche as most places were closed when we arrived after 6:00 PM, the hotels were too far apart in Bordeaux which caused our bus to be over 1 hour late , resulting in our last stop being after dark around 7:30 pm, & the stop at the chateau with the planes, autos, etc. was not worth the trouble.Show more

  We booked this tour in good faith and that it was operated in English with max group size 50 and suitable for 3 to 90 year age range. All of this is incorrect, we were notified about a week before we departed Australia that the we were the only English speakers on the tour. Also the tour group size changed along the way from 17 to over 60 people, we did however have translates, but unfortunately when the guide would speak in Spanish for up to 1 hour and the a translation followed with Spanish accent it was hard to differentiate one from the other, and incase whilst Spanish was occuring over the.audio system the translates tried explain one on one to us but that was drowned out by the audio system. Also we were collected on our so called first day to transfer to Europamundo hotel by car by a non English speaking service. Please note, as outlined in our terms and conditions available on our website: All our overland routes, whether in group or private, unless otherwise noted, include the accompaniment of tour leaders (English speaking) and local guides if specified. Due to the global nature of Europamundo, groups may be bilingual depending on the number of passengers. The service may be provided bilingually (usually in English and Spanish), either by two tour leaders, one for each language, or by a single tour leader explaining in both languages. As indicated in our terms and conditions, a moderate level of mobility is required to participate in our tours. Please note that we do not set a cap for the number of passengers in our terms. Drivers for your arrival or departure transfers are not obligated to speak English. They carry a sign to help you to locate them with the Europamundo logo for your pick-up and drop-off at your destination. Regarding the English proficiency of our guides, all our guides have a B2 (Upper Intermediate) level of English to ensure smooth communication with passengers. We understand that some passengers might find specific accents difficult to understand, and we apologize if you had any problems understanding your first guide. Additionally, as indicated in your itinerary, at the reception, you can find an informative sign indicating the telephone number and hours of assistance of our staff.   Very unorganized tour, they shuffled people from different groups and buses to a point that we were not sure what we were doing. The tour guides just dropped us at different sites and explained what we were supposed to do and never accompanied us to explain about the sites like other tours we had in the past. I will not recomend tourradar or Europamundo to any body.Show more

  In Carcasonne, we had to carry our luggage for 10 minutes down a narrow busy and dangerous street and up a hill and stairs to get to the train - Unacceptable. Several places we didn't have enough time to do a proper visit. Rush, Rush, Rush. Several places we got to only to find out that what we wanted to see was closed. Guides spoke so-so English and geared their talking to the Spanish people. Rarely did they accompany us into the sites (except Patricia who was awesome). What we got to see was great, but somehow I felt disappointed at the end of several days.Show more
