  It was easy to fly from the UK to Saigon, so we decided to start the trip there. From Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta at My Tho we continued to Hoi An, My Son Sanctuary, Hue, Hanoi and the Halong Bay overnight cruise, then departed from the north. Thank you TourRadar and Legend Travel for bringing us through Vietnam on the best itinerary you organised. The south-to-north route felt logical, the days were well paced and every transfer worked. We saw cities, the delta, ancient towns, imperial Hue and the bay without stress. Highly recommend this 12-day package to other UK travellers who can fly into Saigon and out of Hanoi. A complete and well-run first visit to Vietnam.Show more

  We arrived in Saigon at midnight after a long flight, feeling tired and a little uncertain, but the moment we stepped out we saw our driver from Legend waiting with a big, warm smile. He welcomed us so kindly and took us straight to the hotel – we felt immediately happy and well taken care of. From that first moment, everything on this 12-day Vietnam tour ran completely smoothly, and we truly enjoyed every single day. We spent the first days exploring lively Ho Chi Minh City and then enjoyed a wonderful trip to the Mekong Delta via My Tho, where the river life, boats and local fruit were fascinating. Flying north to Hoi An felt like entering a different world – the ancient town is so charming with its yellow walls, lanterns and peaceful riverside atmosphere. Visiting the My Son Sanctuary added a deeper historical touch, and then the journey to Hue continued the charm. The imperial city, pagodas and relaxed pace of Hue made us fall in love with central Vietnam. Hanoi offered its own unique energy – busy streets, delicious food and rich culture. But the absolute highlight of the whole trip was the overnight stay on a boat in Halong Bay. Cruising between the limestone karsts, watching the sunset, enjoying fresh seafood and waking up to the misty beauty of the bay was pure magic. It was everything we had hoped for and more. Throughout the journey the organisation was excellent, the guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and every transfer and activity felt effortless. A big thank you to TourRadar and the local tour operators at Legend for creating such a memorable experience. We felt supported from the very first midnight welcome until the final day in Hanoi.   We spent 12 incredible days exploring Vietnam and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. May turned out to be the perfect time to visit—the beginning of summer was pleasantly warm without being too hot, making sightseeing comfortable and enjoyable. Our journey started in vibrant Ho Chi Minh City, followed by a scenic boat trip through the Mekong Delta. Hoi An and Hue were full of charm and history, with beautiful old streets and friendly locals everywhere we went. Halong Bay was a true highlight with its stunning limestone islands and peaceful cruises. Throughout our trip, we enjoyed delicious Vietnamese food at every stop, stayed in lovely hotels, and felt truly welcomed by our knowledgeable and friendly tour guides.   This is not a group tour. It is a bunch of day trips organised by one company through many other companies. The part I really didn’t enjoy was when they “toured” me through a bunch of different stores where they didn’t teach me anything about the craftsmanship or how the product related to the history of Vietnam and got annoyed when I wouldn’t buy anything. I didn’t make many friends because all the people on the activities were solo travellers who weren’t booked by my company. This would only be good if you’re into buying lots of stuff and if you bring someone along so you are entertained/feel safe.Show more
