What are the most popular tours and activities to do in the Philippines in March?

March's dry weather creates ideal conditions for exploring the Philippines' natural wonders. Visitors can join island hopping tours through El Nido's Big and Small Lagoons swim with whale sharks in Oslob or venture into the Underground River in Puerto Princesa. The Chocolate Hills of Bohol draw nature enthusiasts while cultural experiences like the Bamboo Bike tour through Manila's historic Intramuros district offer unique perspectives on Filipino heritage. A TourRadar traveler notes "The whale shark experience in Oslob is the jewel of this tour package. You will snorkel and maybe even get touched by a whaleshark."

How much should I budget for a Philippines trip in March?

An 8-12 day tour in March typically costs between 1080 USD and 2845 USD. The Filipino Beaches and Chocolate Hills tour (9 days) runs about 1874 USD with stays at Savoy Hotel Manila and Solea Coast Resort Panglao. Budget extra for environmental fees (200 PHP per destination) optional activities and meals not covered in tour packages. These prices reflect peak season rates during one of the Philippines' most pleasant weather months.

What wildlife can I see in Philippines during March?

March offers prime wildlife viewing opportunities across the Philippines. Visitors can spot endangered tarsiers at Bohol's sanctuary encounter whale sharks in Oslob's waters and observe diverse marine life while snorkeling. The Tarsier Conservation Area provides reliable viewing of these tiny primates. One TourRadar traveler reports: "We saw amazing wildlife in March - from tiny tarsiers to sea turtles and even dolphins during our island hopping tour from El Nido to Coron."

What are the best beaches to visit in Philippines during March?

March's clear skies and calm waters make it an excellent time to explore beaches across the archipelago. Nacpan Beach in El Nido White Beach in Boracay and Port Barton's secluded coves offer distinct coastal experiences. Staying at District Boracay or Ausan Beach Front Cottages puts visitors steps from the sand. TruTravels reviews highlight March's appeal: "The waters at Seven Commandos Beach were crystal clear and the weather was perfect for swimming and snorkeling at Shimizu Island."

How crowded are tourist destinations in the Philippines during March?

March falls within peak tourist season drawing substantial crowds to popular spots like Boracay's White Beach and El Nido's island hopping routes. A TourRadar traveler notes that "Alona Beach in Panglao has become crowded due to opening of restaurants and bars." Less visited areas like Port Barton provide quieter alternatives. Properties such as Spin El Nido can direct guests to lesser-known locations away from the main tourist paths.

What are the best day trips available in Philippines during March?

Clear March skies enhance day trip experiences throughout the Philippines. Popular excursions include exploring Puerto Princesa's Underground River touring the Chocolate Hills and tarsier sanctuaries in Bohol and joining island hopping expeditions from El Nido. Hotels like Fairways & Bluewater Boracay help arrange these outings. As one TourRadar traveler shares: "The March weather made our day trips amazing - especially the island hopping tours where we could see everything clearly in the perfect conditions."
