The tour was amazing! There were so many different activities included. The Philippine Experience was one of the highlights which included coconut tree climbing, cooking and Filipino dancing. The island hopping in Port Barton was a once in a lifetime experience where you get to camp on a private beach, swim with turtles and climb up to a waterfall. The included meals were great - even for vegetarian's like me. Chloe was an amazing guide! She is so lovely and worked so hard to ensure that everyone had the best time. If I could go back and do this tour again, I 100% would.

    4.0 - Good

The tour was fantastic overall with Port Barton island hopping and El Nido overall being highlights. Most of the accomadation was great and exceeded expectations. Port Barton was incredibly basic but not bad. The included meals were good. Loved the variety of transportation used on the tour. Whilst it made me fear for my life at points, it made the experience unforgettable. My only negatives are as follows: - the zip line is optional but the trek up and down from the sip line currently isn’t. There should be an alternative for people that don’t want to do it. - only one of the restaurants wasn’t great. (Personal preference as others in the group liked it.) - there should have been some sort of icebreaker earlier on in the tour to help the group get better quicker. The quiz really helped but it came a late in the tour. A final note...They say guide is generally a tours greatest asset or biggest downfall... Chloe was absolutely fantastic throughout the tour. She was always approachable and most of her recommendations were spot on, for both during and after the tour.

I will not lie, I was super apprehensive about doing this sort of holiday, this was something I had never done before and hugely out of my comfort zone, it also hadn't helped that I had heard some mix bag reviews about other tour operators. I decided to go for it, the booking process was effortless and we were kept informed by Joe from the moment of booking, getting regular updates about the trip including our itinerary. All I can really say is this a MUST DO trip even for first timers like me. The itinerary is jam-packed full of amazing things to do and see and still manages to give you more than enough time to explore by yourself, I have met and made some great friends on my travels. Joe, our guide was awesome, always up for a laugh but was always on hand to share his knowledge of the Philippines. This One Life Tour is a real eye-opener and gives you a real feel for Filipino life and takes you off the beaten track and will take you to places you never thought you'd go or see! It was also beautiful to see all the work that One Life do within the communities, from working with local business to helping the local schools. If there is one piece of advice I could give anyone first-timer or not is DO this tour! My expectations have been exceeded and am already planning to do another One Life Tour. THANK YOU ONE LIFE.

This was an excellent tour, we had a really good insight into the culture of the Filipino people. We did a good range of activities including snorkelling, swimming with turtles, seeing starfish, climbing a coconut tree, learning how to cook a Filipino dish as well as visiting the underground river and big lagoon. I would highly recommend this tour, you will not regret it!

The tour to Palawan was amazing, it felt like everything had been thought of and there was so much included for the price, plus a lot of things that you wouldn't have been able to do if you were travelling by yourself, such as the island hopping tour and beach camping on the private one life island. Chloe was a fantastic guide, she made sure everyone was safe and having a great time. 10/10 would recommend. I also spent 5 days in Bohol island as a tour 'add on', and whilst I thought the island was beautiful and would recommend visiting, I don't think that booking this part of my trip through Onelife added much. The accommodation was of a very poor standard compared to the rest of the tour and for the amount of money the add on cost ( I understand this was out of Onelife's control on this occasion and that it is usually better) and the activities included are all super easy to book yourself when you get there. So go to Bohol, but just arrange it yourself!

One Life Adventures have really done an amazing job putting this tour together! The accommodation was great. After chatting to some other people on different tours or solo travelers, One Life definitely picked the best accommodation on offer! The itinerary was packed full of unforgettable experiences, each item a winner! Even when certain activities could not be done due to the weather we always had an alternate plan from our guide, Derrick. Derrick was awesome on this tour. If things didn’t go to plan he just went with it which made everyone feel comfortable. His knowledge of the areas we visited was unbelievable which meant we went to the best places during our down times and we got to learn a lot about the places and the people. He kept us well informed on when to meet for each activity and made sure we got to where we were going safely. We had to leave in the early hours of the morning on the last day to catch a flight, Derrick made sure he was there to see us off. It takes a special type of person to be responsible for a big group, Derrick rocked! Thanks One Life Adventures, Milly and Derrick for an incredible tour!

An amazing tour which allowed us to see the very best of the phillipines - culture, phenomenal scenery and adventure! Derrick was an awesome tour guide who made sure we barely even noticed the few unforseeable hiccups along the way. Would absolutely live the last 10 days over and over again if i could! :-)

I've been on a lot of group tours, and this one is definitely up there as one of the best! You really get to see and do so much on this trip, particularly on the island of Palawan. The activities included are a mixture of adventure, fun and culture, really giving an overall experience of what the Philippines has to offer. One day you'll be visiting a prison, next island hopping and swimming with turtles, then climbing up a coconut tree and learning how to dance the Filipino way! Our guide Chloe was amazing! Such a lovely person, went above and beyond for the whole group and made the trip even more epic by her just being there. She was super informative, very organised and offered so much fun! Everywhere we stayed too was well put together, some awesome accommodation and unique experiences (sleeping on our own private island!), and the meals included were a great way to taste the local cuisine. I miss the Philippines so much and wouldn't hesitate to do this trip again if I could!

Overall a good trip with nice beaches but lots of room for improvement when it comes to time management, accomodations, and tour guide. If you are the kind of person that likes to relax here and there rather book another tour. The 10 days were super busy and hectic, rarely any downtime and always less than 20 minutes to shower, get ready etc. Everyone was pretty exhausted by the end.
One Life Adventures commented on this review
Hi Mi, Thanks for the review. Whilst we do try our best to include free time on the tour, this trip is billed more as an adventure type holiday. There is a lot to see and do in the 10 days and we have worked hard to find a great balance between activities and adventure such as the hours spent free on the beaches of Port barton, free mornings in Port Barton and a whole free afternoon in El Nido to explore the surrounding areas or just chill. We try to fill the days on tour so we can maximise our customer’s value for money, however we are sorry you don’t see it this way. Our accommodation (Z Hostel, Canvas Boutique Hotel & Spin Designer Hostel) are all rated as outstanding and by far and away some the best accommodation available.
