This trip does not come with any included airport transfers so you would need to make your own way over to the starting hotel. However, if you would like to add on an arrival/departure airport transfer we can do that for you at an additional cost.

Unfortunately we cannot confirm you on these tours. Trips for 18-29s will be running only for the clients in the mentioned age limits. However, we do have similar trips which we do not have age restrictions. You could check on the same and let us know so we can check the availability for you.

I am an American and I would like to know if I will need a VISA for the places I will visit. I am not vaccinated, but I have a doctor's certificate that I can't have any vaccines.

Americans do not need a visa to enter Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, or Nicaragua. However, Nicaragua has mandatory proof of vaccination in place. While Intrepid requires all travelers to be fully vaccinated, we do make some exceptions for medical reasons. Please provide us with the doctor's certificate, so that we can pass this along to a manager and the local teams to determine if the exemption can be approved.

I had a good opinion of Geckos until they didn't follow up on feedback that one of the guides was making highly inappropriate comments. I assumed they'd be horrified and get in touch to find out what happened but it's been 2 months now. The guide made inappropriate comments of a sexual nature to every woman in the group; about 10/12 on the tour were women. The most sexually explicit comments were directed at me, even after I told him it was inappropriate. It made the last few days of the tour very uncomfortable because you can't really avoid your guide. It was especially stressful at meals, trying to make sure I didn't end up beside him. When he realised I wasn't happy with him he sulked for days and kept asking why I wasn't his friend anymore. Not fun... Geckos' lack of response suggests to me that this must not be uncommon behaviour for guides. Also the fact that the guide was so blatant and targeted literally every woman suggests that he didn't expect the company to take complaints seriously.Show more

This tour is a combination of two other tours. First three week section of the tour was brilliant; great places, very knowledgeable guide, great activities. The last two weeks in Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Costa Rica were boring by comparison. If we spent two days in a place often there were only enough activities to fill one day. In places where there were options they often weren't appealing enough for anyone else in the group to want to do them, meaning it was do it alone or don't do it. I thoroughly recommend the first section of the tour but I don't recommend the second part. Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before April 6th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after April 6th, 2026, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with Intrepid Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Intrepid Travel will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
