The closest airport to Swakopmund is Walvis Bay Airport (WVB) and the tour ends in Livingstone and clients depart from Livingstone Airport (LVI). We can arrange arrival and departure airport transfers on request, subject to availability.

We are looking for safari, desert camping, meeting with local communities and we are open to every other typical experience! We were thinking of Botswana (because of the wild life) and Namibia for the amazing nature and views. Do you have any other recommendations?

The 24NDDE12A tour is a good choice for wildlife, different landscapes and cultural experiences. Please let me know your flexibility with travel duration so that I can suggest alternative tours within that duration bracket.

Our guide and driver were professional and outstanding examples of how a tour should be run. Justin was an great cook and knowledgeable about everything. If you get a chance to do this tour do it!   I was also wondering about the Yellow Fever rules for entering Namibia and Botswana. It says on multiple websites that people require a Yellow Fever certificate if they are entering from a country on the Yellow Fever List (or if they have transited for over 12 hrs in that country) I understand this (I would enter from the UK [not on the list]). However, I have subsequently been told that you must have it if you have been to a country that has Yellow fever in the last 10 years. Is this true?

  Countries may change their Yellow Fever vaccination requirements without notice. We are aware of the transit rule in countries on the Yellow Fever List however I have no knowledge of the latter, 10 year rule. I would recommend you see your GP or local travel clinic for the most up-to-date medical advice.

  Could you provide me with the link to this trip to Zanzibar? Also, how's the weather like in East and South Africa during February - March? Would you say it's a good timing to travel there?

  Travel in east Africa is good for Jan/ Feb and early March. What normally happens then usually from late March is the beginning of the main monsoon season which lasts through April and May till early June. It is still possible to travel during that time - our tours run year round - but the weather and road conditions make travel a little slower and more challenging than in Aug/Sep/Oct.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 17th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 17th, 2026, a minimum payment of $300 is required to confirm your booking with Acacia Adventure Holidays. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 61 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
