    Asked on March 29th, 2026

Tour starts at 10:00 in London? If so can a room be booked for the night before? Is transport from the airport in London to the hotel provided or can it be arranged? The same for the Rome departure. What is the cost of the two day extension in Rome and are any services provided?

    Tour Details
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

Yes, the tour starts at 10:00 AM in London on Day 1.
While we don't arrange pre- or post-tour accommodation directly, you're very welcome to book a hotel for the night before. Once your booking is confirmed, we can share the provisional starting/ending hotel details for your reference so you can stay nearby.
We also don't provide airport transfers, but we're happy to share guidance or helpful links so you can arrange transport easily on your own. The same applies for your departure in Rome.
Regarding the Rome post-tour extensions, here are the options available:
Rome Add-on Post-Tour – €330: Enjoy 2 extra nights in Rome including hotel accommodation, a guided walking tour (Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona), one included dinner, and the services of your tour leader. You'll also have a free day to explore before the add-on ends after breakfast on Day 12.
Eternal Rome Add-on Post-Tour – €490: This includes everything above plus guided visits to the Colosseum & Roman Forum and the Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel on Day 11, offering a more in-depth experience of Rome's highlights.

      TravelerWritten March 2026

Could you please provide the quote for an extra pre-night?

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

Triple rooms are not available. Our standard twin rooms will be provided for two travellers, and the third person will be roomed with another solo traveller of the same gender, where possible.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

We do not offer pre- or post-tour accommodation as part of this itinerary, so travellers will need to arrange their own stays if they plan to arrive early or extend their stay after the tour.

  • L

    Lindsay

    Asked on March 9th, 2026

I am trying to book this tour for my client, but they said they saw that there was a 10 day free cancellation on your website and they need that time to confirm dates off from work. But on my end booking through Tour Radar, I don't see that 10 day cancellation available. Is that a standard offering?

    Payments
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

Yes, Expat Explore does offer a 10-day money-back guarantee. This allows travellers to cancel within 10 days of confirming the booking and receive a full refund of the deposit, provided the booking was made more than 60 days before the tour departure date.

When bookings are made through third-party platforms such as TourRadar, the 10-day money-back guarantee offered by Expat Explore may not always appear clearly on the booking interface. However, travellers who book any Expat Explore tours through TourRadar are still eligible for the 10-day money-back guarantee.

    Asked on March 1st, 2026

Can we share a double room with our daughter with extra bedding? And would you accept 50% discount for our 8-year-old daughter, who is considered a child?

    Accommodation
    Age Range
    Group size
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

Due to the nature of our tours being packed with activities and extensive walking, we have established a minimum age limit of 10 years old, as they may not be suitable for young children. However, Expat Explore may exercise discretion and potentially consider younger children for specific tours if they fulfill certain criteria. As per European Hotels, 3 Persons are not allowed in a Twin Share Room. So in the event that you proceed with the booking, the daughter will be roomed with 1 of the Adults, while the other Adult can get a Private Room Upgrade (If available) for an added cost, or be roomed with another traveler of the same gender.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

Regrettably we do not offer discounts for minors or seniors, so the tour price would be as advertised, whether it's under a seasonal promotion, ongoing discount, or regular price. Our tours are generally suitable for travellers aged 10 years and above, but in your case, we can escalate your request to see if an exception can be made for your 8-year-old daughter. For accommodation, the default is twin-share rooms, so your daughter would normally share with one adult, while the other adult would be roomed with another solo traveller of the same gender, or you could consider a private room upgrade instead.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten March 2026

Unfortunately, our tours do not offer triple room configurations, and hotels used on the tour are only able to accommodate a maximum of two guests per room. For this reason, bookings for three travellers require two separate rooms. Our rooming policies are based on the hotel capacities and agreements in place for the tour.

    Asked on February 1st, 2026

Could you let us know if there is still availability for 2 travelers to join the tour on March 20?

    Price / Availability
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten February 2026

Currently, there is only one seat available for that specific date. However, we can contact our operations team to see if they are able to open up an additional seat for you. Please keep in mind that this is not guaranteed, as it depends on local capacities and logistics.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten February 2026

Unfortunately, the tour operator currently has no availability for 2 travelers on your desired dates. We would be happy to assist you in finding new travel dates that work for you.

    Tour Details

    Price / Availability
    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten December 2025

The tour operator has been able to secure 11 spots for your group. Please note that these spots are only being held until the end of this week.

    • Expat Explore TravelOperatorWritten January 2026

Our tours are designed primarily with adults in mind. We have a minimum age requirement of 10 years old, ensuring the best possible experience for all travellers. The tour includes long days on the coach with commentary via microphone, comfort breaks approximately every 2–3 hours, walking tours of up to 3 hours, early morning departures and some late dinners.
