Our age range isn't based on fitness levels or assumptions about anyone's physical ability. Instead, it's set to maintain a specific group dynamic and to manage expectations for everyone on the trip. For this particular itinerary, travellers book with the expectation of joining a younger demographic, and we try to keep that consistent so the overall experience aligns with what the group is looking for. We have trips in South Korea, Japan and China that we can accommodate you on if you're interested in one of those destinations.

I noticed the tour has an age limit of 45, but I'm 47 years old, in very good shape. Would it be possible to make an exception so I can join?

We fully understand you're in very good shape, but the recommended age limit isn't only in place for fitness, but also the overall dynamic of the trip and and your enjoyment. The age demographic for the trip departing on the 17 October 2025 is from 19 to 27. And, the standard accommodation is shared dorms, with the option to upgrade to a private room. We wouldn't want to recommend you a trip we don't think you would enjoy, but if you're happy with the information above, we'd be more than happy to accommodate you on the trip.

Trip price for Friday, 11 April, 2025: £1,309.00 GBP Single room upgrade: £600.00 GBP Total: £1,909.00 GBP Please bear in mind, that if you opt for the single room upgrade, you'd still be expected to share a room during the cruise on Ha Long Bay.

I wanna send my mum for her bday, but she's 63 y/o is that a problem?

We set an age limit to ensure the tour is the best fit for everyone involved, based on the type of activities, pace, and group dynamic. Our trips are often designed with certain levels of physical activity or energy in mind, and the age range helps create a cohesive group with shared interests and similar travel styles.

I'm a very active 49 year old who does a lot of hiking. I noticed that the age range cuts off at 45. Can I be included in the tour despite my age, as I'm looking for this kind of adventure?

Yes, you can absolutely join our tours, even if you are 49 years of age. We don't have a cut off age so it doesn't matter how old you are. However, it is important to note that we stay in hostels. You can stay in a mixed dorm, or pay a surcharge and stay in a private room. Moreover, we will be using public transportations. If these things sound fine to you, then there should be no reason why you would not have a great time on this tour.

Can 57 and 59 couple book this trip

The upper age limit for this tour is 55 years old but if you are very active and are fine that most of your group mates are in their 20s and 30s, then it is fine and you can join the tour.

Really amazing tour that takes you to all the top tourist spots and a few hidden gems! Tour highlights was definietly the caves in Phong Nha, Hoi An (the memories show especially), the island in Cambodia and Angkor Wat. The activities and food were incredible - accomodation and transport all good and well organised which made it very easy! Chau - our guide in Vietnam was amazing- friendly, organised, nothing was too much trouble and her guided tours / explanations were brilliant - you could tell how much she loved her job and her country. Cambodia was a beautiful country with more amazing activities and places to visit but felt slightly less well organised - there were a few activities listed on the itinerary that we didn't get to do which was a little sad! The only other thing to be aware is that you will be joining a group that have been travelling together for some time which can feel a little isolating at times!Show more

The accommodation is very basic, dorm style (up to 18 in one room), mixed gender, sometimes having to share with strangers. Beware that you will be joining a tour, the group I joined had already been to Thailand together and this massively influenced my experience. The Vietnam section is very well planned, and you get a good taste of Vietnam. The Cambodia section seemed very centred on drinking culture and minimal other activities. I think all the things you touched upon are very clear before anyone books our tours. Namely, that we use mixed dorms (and dorms inherently mean sharing with others with the option of upgrading to a private room) and that this is a group tour (which in our experience is what most travelers are looking to join). We are a bit confused by what you meant by "Cambodia section seemed centered on drinking culture". We offer 4 included tours in Cambodia, and absolutely none are centered around drinking. They are the following: • Private boat tour (Koh Rong) • S21 prison (Phnom Penh) • City walking tour (Siem Reap) • Sunrise at Angkor Wat (Siem Reap) • Optional Killing Fields • Optional Grand Palace • Optional Boozy Bike Tour • Optional Floating Village Tour • Optional Phare – The Cambodian Circus • Optional Bar Crawl What I believe happened is that you randomly ended up in a group where many them liked to drink and so went out and partied and went drinking. No one is obliged to do the same things during free time, so at no point did you have to join them when they went drinking, for example for the Optional Bar Crawl. But once again, I would like to underscore that you might have misunderstood this part as our tours are certainly NOT centered around drinking, rather than experiencing the Culture and of course having fun!
