  -Knowledgable and timely escorts -Comfortable and safe hotels and transport vehicles - Safe drive to Antasibe National Park and Vanutu Animal Park -Rugged route to Antasibe: truck traffic, potholes, and pedestrians - Selected enroute restaurants clean and well prepared foods and restrooms - TNR to selected city hotel: Urban Hotel is one hour or more from airport. Location with pleasant view but limited walking due to “recommended tourist safety” as proximal to city center. -Andasibe Cypress Hotel has outstanding clean pool, nice staff, and quiet setting minutes from Andasibe NP. Consider staying closer to TNR to avoid long hot trip into Tana. Consider aTana hotel with outdoor walking area and pool Consider a direct trip to Andasibe from TNR with all lodging in Andasibe and avoid Tana especially if your visit is to the National Park. -Be aware that local and national guides are designated for parks and activities. No self guided or free hiking in the Parks. - Be prepared to have clean and untattered bills for purchasing and tipping (suggested tipping is routine and perhaps considered an additional expense though your prepaid tour fee includes guide and driver) -Show more

  We booked with the owner Mr. Aristide directly to get a better price than going with tour radar. Our tour began on Mai 16 to Mai 22. Mr. Aristide was very organized and easy to contact prior to our departure. I've never met someone who replies so fast! Our only issue was we were unable to pay with credit card. When we arrived to Madagascar, Ms. Haingo met us at the airport and the driver took us to our hotel. Mr. Jojo was our driver and made us feel safe during our trip. He didn't speak much English but he was very pleasant. The roads are full of potholes so it takes quite a long time to get from one destination to the next. The only scary part is that the middle seat in the vehicle does not have a seat belt. We began our tour by staying at feon'ny ala hotel. We stayed in a nice bungalow. It's important to remember that the 3 star hotels are not the same standard in Madagascar as other countries in the world. We then set off to find lemurs in the forest. The guide was excellent. The food at the hotel was delicious. Our next stop was coleur cafe hotel in the city of antsirabe. The hotel was the nicest we stayed in during the tour. We then headed off to morondava to see the avenue of the baobabs. We saw the sunset as well as the sunrise. The hotel renala au sable had many cockroaches and a huge one in one of our rooms! Mr. Aristide acted promptly and was able to get our rooms switched and our money back for having to pay for air conditioner (its supposed to be free but the reception charged us). We then headed back to the capital city Tana and drove around with Mr. Jojo. Overall the whole experience was excellent. Everyone in the company was very professional and easy to reach when we needed help. I highly recommend Travelia safari tour company if you want to travel to Madagascar! It's quite difficult to arrange your own trip with the road conditions and language barrier.Show more
