  The tour was wonderful! It’s my first time in Europe and I picked this tour since there were multiple dates available. I originally wanted to go another country but I’ve been wanting to go to Europe with a friend but never got around to it. I have an approved vacation so I decided to go to Europe. This tour has the essential places I wanted to go and I booked it really in less than an month. Food: we had breakfast almost on a daily and maybe a few dinner. So in between when we are out our tour director told us where we can find great food at an affordable price. Transportation: I expected to be in the bus from one place to the next. We have a clean air conditioned bus. Hotel accommodation: Hotels are ok. The hotel in London is so close to everything. A walking distance to Big Ben, Parliament and Westminster Abbey, London Eye, etc. The hotel in Rome and Paris are the farthest but it’s accessible with metro. Hotels in Florence and Venice are far but that’s expected especially in Venice. Our tour director was nice and as well as the driver and efficient with our luggage drop off (he drives to the hotel after he dropped us off to do our tour and come to pick us up after). I did join all the optional tours except for one. I enjoy and love to explore the places on my own and at my pace. Sometimes in group tours I feel rushed which I understand we have a schedule to keep up with. I did a smaller group in my past tours and you have more time to enjoy the scenery but of course you pay a little more for a tailored/custom experience. Also I’m a solo traveler and this is my first doing a twin share (single is sold out) and had a great room mate and we really got along!! The people in my group tour were amazing, fun and caring people! That made the tour even more wonderful and enjoyable!!Show more

In first hotel in London the lobby smelled, our room did not have a working A/C and the celling in our bathroom had mold on it. The next few hotels also did not have A/C.Show more

  We had planned this trip for a year. The trafalgar website said trips were being cancelled on a "case-by-case" basis...
  We had planned this trip for a year. The trafalgar website said trips were being cancelled on a "case-by-case" basis and that we would know 45-60 days before the trip if it was cancelled. At 45 days out it said the trip was a "definite departure." So we bought plane tickets and things we would need for the trip, booked extra hotel rooms to extend the trip, etc. Four weeks before the trip was scheduled to depart they cancelled the trip. All we got was an email. No one reached out to contact us to speak to us about options or what to do next. I finally called them and it turns out ALL the trips to Europe up until this point had been cancelled, they just weren't putting that on the website. We can reschedule the trip for next summer, but of course they are raising prices and they won't price much, so I'll have to pay more for the trip. I'm extremely disappointed at the way the Trafalgar has handled this.Show more

Having said this, we are genuinely saddened to read about your suspended trip to Europe, and we can certainly understand the frustration that may have been felt, as this was so close to the departure date. Whilst we are endeavouring to carry out all of our planned trips, unfortunately the ongoing Covid-19 crisis has meant that there are times when we may be forced to postpone our voyages. At such times as these, our guests are always invited to re-book for a later time of travel. With that said, we still appreciate the disappointment that was felt, and we have passed your concerns on to our Reservations Department for their attention going forward. Nevertheless, we do look forward to travelling to Europe together soon, when we are once again able.
