Looking to travel from Windhoek to Victoria Falls

We have a 15-day Camping Safari (NB15) that runs from Livingstone to Windhoek. Camping in the wilds of Africa is an unforgettable way to truly connect with nature. Our camping adventures stay at designated campsites in national parks, private reserves, and towns with generally good facilities like hot showers, electricity, and laundry areas. We provide all camping equipment except your sleeping bag and pillow. Tents are large canvas dome tents with insect screens, 5cm thick mattresses, and camp chairs with backrests. Most safaris also include nights in simple lodge or guest house accommodation with en suite twin rooms.

Are beds with a mattress available for sleeping each night? Do we sleep in tents or a structure?

On the NB15 on 11 of the nights we stay at designated campsites, in or bordering national parks and towns. Formal campsites have hot and cold showers, laundry facilities & shops. 1x night in Windhoek and 2x nights in Swakopmund in a lodge with en suite twin bedrooms. We supply 5 cm thick mattresses, which are warm and comfortable. Camping in the wilds of Africa is the way to go. The canvas dome tents we use are large (2.2 x 2.2 x 1.8 metre), with built-in insect nets.

A great adventure on your amazing continent. Our guides Maxwell and Stephen explained Africa is not a holiday or safari and it sure was an adventure. Their professionalism, knowledge, culinary skills and a basic willingness to share were more than we expected. Guides are swapped each tour and we were exceptionally lucky to experience the skills of these two guys. On one occasion safety was an issue but Stephens cool calm manner made us feel comfortable when the hippo tried to join our makoros. Also Maxwells handling of an injured Black Mamba on the road showed his empathy with animals in general. As the "oldies" in our tour group we were very well looked after. Going beyond the requirements of the tour when my husbands suitcase failed to arrive in Livingstone before the tour left, they made sure we stopped at the appropriate shops to purchase another wardrobe!! When the bag finally arrived in Livingstone they collected it and had it waiting at the finish of the tour for us. Well done Sunway. Ewen & Sue HaglundShow more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before April 23rd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after April 23rd, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Sunway Safaris. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 50 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
