Is this still being offered? Will it be again?

    Asked on August 15th, 2025

I'm thinking about joining this tour as a solo traveler in my mid 40s. However I have a few questions: how many people are signed up? What ages (particularly number of small children?) and if any other solo travelers? I also wonder about required fitness level (I have an ankle joint problem and can't walk too much on stairs or for hours in uneven terrain).

    Travel Support
    • GlobusOperatorWritten August 2025

There about 16 passengers booked on this departure as of now. We are unable to advise the ages of the participants but it can range as young as 5 years old and up. There are about 2 solo travelers booked at this time. If you would like to move forward with this date we would have to submit a request to our Operations team to make sure an additional solo traveler can be accommodated. This tour is recommended for moderate walkers but comfortability is based on your preference.

    • J

      Jeffrey

      TravelerWritten August 2025

Why would it be difficult to accommodate another solo traveler? I assume we would get single rooms?

    • GlobusOperatorWritten August 2025

As our tours are based on double occupancy, our Operations teams only allows a specific amount of singles/triples to be accommodated. Once that allotment has been filled a request must be submitted to confirm space.

    Asked on June 25th, 2024

Would like to visit Sequoia National Park. Is there a Redwood visit? Can an alternative activity replace wine tasting? Is it possible for a friend to join one day later?

    Tour Details
    Transport
    • GlobusOperatorWritten June 2024

Tour visits Sequoia National Park with giant trees, not redwoods. Wine tasting is part of core itinerary but can discuss sitting out with Tour Director. Friend can join tour 1 day late, will miss that day's sightseeing with no cost reduction, and can easily join since tour stays in San Francisco on day 2.

    Asked on May 1st, 2023

I tried to book this with a Uk travel company, but they said they would not book it as it was not covered by ABTA or any other means to ensure I am covered and would be compensated if there were any cancelations or other issues. What cover and guarantee do I have if there is any delays or cancelations or any other issues like the company running the tour going bust at any time prior or during the tour.

    Payments
    Travel Support
    • GlobusOperatorWritten May 2023

We're ABTA and ATOL protected. So if we cancelled for any reason you and your money are protected. You would need travel insurance just in case you yourself needed to cancel for any reason and we weren't cancelling, say for example a medical emergency. I can't comment on the agency you tried to book through but as the operator we have both ABTA and ATOL.
