  This tour was amazing! There’s honestly not a thing I would change. Our guide, Hicham, was exceptional. He was so organized, really took care of us, when there was a problem with something out of his control he still took it upon himself to fix it, was so knowledgeable, and executed the 8 days perfectly. He made the trip fun while also ensuring we got the most out of all of it. Even though it was Ramadan and he was fasting he was still so on top of things. I especially enjoyed during the trip that the locals we met were compensated and expecting us so I never felt we were intruding or unwelcome. From exploring the medinas, to riding a camel in the Sahara, to meeting a nomadic family, to getting to watch trades like mosaic artists, herbalists, weavers, etc. and all of the amazing sights in between I truly can’t pick a favorite experience. I learned and saw so much. The stays were all great. Maybe one lukewarm shower and a few rooms without working WiFi during the entirety of the stay which was better than I anticipated. Usually though the showers were hot and the WiFi was great. The rooms always had towels as well as at minimum hand soap and usually also shampoo and body wash so you only need to pack a minimal amount of that. They were also all so pretty! The breakfasts start out bigger then become simpler which again was to be expected. I was vegetarian and I did not have an issue with the meals. As far as meals that were not included there was a nice variety of local restaurants as well as international so that was nice. The transportation was wonderful with our driver Yunus, who was always speedy but safe! This tour was life changing and I’ll never ever forget it. If you’re thinking about it, absolutely go!Show more

  The tour was well organised. Hamid , the overall tour guide is very caring, patient and understanding. He springs surprise birthday cakes and parties, and light up everyone’s moments! The other tour guide, Sahid for Fes, is excellent and the tour guide for Vollubus , the Roman Ruins is excellent too. Their explanation is clear and easy to understand. Positives Well organised and experienced staff Always felt safe Varied itinerary Would do again Things that could improve I felt uncomfortable being asked to tip the guide and driver. A wage should be enough. Tipping is not my culture I did not like to be asked to contribute for porters etc. Gratuities were meant to be included in the price. I’m happy to pay more if it wasn’t included, but as tipping is not part of my belief system, I didn’t like it but it wasn’t a dealbreaker for me. I would’ve loved more time to browse at certain points but totally understand that the tour must run to schedule but personally I would’ve been happy to exchange browse time for a feShow more

  I do believe G Adventures to be a great travel company, and I absolutely loved the diversity of our small group, but I cannot recommend this tour without some serious editing. Our Tour Director was horrible (G Adventures is addressing the issues). The worst part is the amount of driving though. You are in the van for at least 4 hours each day, often longer. The trip to the desert is 10 hours. Our drive back to Marrakech should have only taken 4 hours, but due to snow in the Atlas Mountains, it took 9 hours. We missed all our activities in Marrakech and had to be refunded. I would recommend making sure you have a day in Casablanca (my favorite), and an extra day to experience Marrakech. Meals aren't included, but at the places you stop, you're forced to pay for expensive buffets or dishes (around $15). When I got food on my own, I never paid more than $5. Also, the hotels were some of the worst I've ever stayed in. The absolute worst was Fes, and we were there 2 nights. We should have spent the first night in Meknes, visiting a vineyard or olive oil farm during the day, instead of the long drive to Fes.Show more

  The expectation was low . When i booked the trip i read about Morocco's culture .I was interested in the history . i also was interested in the style clothes that i should be wearing since it's a Muslim country and did not wish to offend the culture . My trip was booked for the summer and i was packed and excited to go . At this point i was traveling solo . i got to Casablanca and was impressed . it is a very big city . Colorful with lots of shopping and busy . I was met by the tour guide and his assistant and immediately felt at ease . Throughout the whole trip i felt safe, always taken care of by the guides . My favorite city was Marrakech and the dessert . We stayed in the dessert for 2 days and it was heaven . i felt in love with morocco . It's people . i highly recommend this tour with G adventures, . it was one of my favorite trips and you will have memories that last a lifetime. If you go in the summer Morrocco is sweltering hot so wear light clothes and lots of sunscreen . Also do take shorts and tank tops if you're a lady as people in Morocco dress like this in the summer . Good luck and enjoy this trip !!!Show more
