- Day 1
Munich
You'll arrive in Munich and spend your first day getting to know Bavaria's capital. Start by walking through Stachus Square and heading to Marienplatz to feel the pulse of the old town, or if you prefer something more laid-back, the English Garden offers a nice spot to relax and shake off any travel fatigue.

Munich to Murnau am Staffelsee
Today you'll cycle about 65 km from Munich through Forstenrieder Park heading toward Lake Starnberg. From there, follow the lakeshore path down to Seashaupt, then continue through several traditional Bavarian villages. You'll pass by the Osterseen and Riegsee lakes along the way before finishing in Murnau am Staffelsee.

Murnau am Staffelsee to Garmisch-Partenkirchen
You'll ride through the Murnauer Moos, which is the largest moorland area in Central Europe, following the Loisach River through quiet countryside. Once you reach Garmisch-Partenkirchen, you'll have the chance to take the Zugspitze cable car up to 2,962 meters for views of the Alpine peaks. The cycling today covers roughly 40 km.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Mittenwald to Leutasch
Today's 40 km route takes you through a high valley with panoramic mountain views of the Karwendel and Wetterstein ranges. You'll stop in the charming town of Mittenwald to see the traditional Lüftlmalerei fresco paintings on the buildings. After that, you'll cycle through the Leutasch Valley toward the Austrian border, then follow the Leutasch stream to your accommodation.

Leutasch to Imst
From Leutasch, you'll start on gently rolling roads before descending about 8 kilometers into Telfs. Then you'll follow the old towpath alongside the Inn River to Stams, where you'll see the baroque Cistercian abbey. Continuing via Haiming, you'll reach Imst, which locals call the 'Merano of North Tyrol'. This day covers around 50 km.

Imst to St. Valentin
You'll keep cycling along the Inn River, passing Zams Abbey before getting to Landeck. From there, a bus takes you up to Nauders, and then you'll cycle about 70 meters of elevation gain to reach the Reschen Pass. After that comes a scenic descent down to Lake Reschen, ending your day on the cycle path to St. Valentin. The cycling portion is roughly 40 km.

St. Valentin to Merano
Today's 70 km route highlights some real cultural spots, starting with the well-preserved medieval town wall in Glurns. You'll pass old mining ruins near Schlanders and several castles and palaces along the way to Merano, including Juval Castle which belongs to mountaineer Reinhold Messner. The Ortler massif and Stelvio Pass stay visible throughout. If you want to cut the day short, the Vinschgau Railway between Mals and Merano is available.

Merano to Lake Caldaro
You'll cycle via Lana through orchards and vineyards along the South Tyrolean Wine Road for about 55 km. You'll pass numerous fortified castles, palaces, and ruins, including Hocheppan which has important frescoes, before arriving at Lake Caldaro. The whole route winds through wine country with plenty to see.

Lake Caldaro to Trento
Following the well-developed cycle path along the Adige River, you'll head to Salorno, where German-speaking South Tyrol ends. Then you'll cycle past famous Trentino vineyards along the dike paths leading into Trento. Once there, you'll have time to check out the charming old town, the cathedral, and Buonconsiglio Castle. This day is about 45 km.

Trento to Riva del Garda
You'll continue on the Adige cycle path through the old Tyrolean border town of Rovereto to Mori. This is where you can stop at Gelateria Bologna for some renowned pistachio ice cream or a freshly squeezed fruit juice, which is included with your tour. After a short climb over Passo San Giovanni, the route descends to Lake Garda and the town of Riva del Garda. Today covers approximately 50 km.
