Rome
You'll arrive in Rome and head to your hotel, where your guide meets you with the details you need to know. Later on, head over to Via Cavour to find dinner. The area has quite a range of options, so you can pick between Italian, Indian, Chinese, or other international spots depending on what sounds good.

- Day 2
Rome
Start with a three-hour guided walk and panoramic bus tour covering the main spots of Imperial Rome. You'll see the Arch of Constantine, the Colosseum's exterior, Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, Baths of Caracalla, Basilica of Saint Mary Major, Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant'Angelo. The tour finishes at Vatican City around 11:00 a.m., and there's an option to visit the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel on your own. After, transfer to Trastevere for dinner, then head back to your hotel around 8:30 p.m.

- Day 3
Rome to Florence
You'll head north from Rome, traveling through the landscape toward Florence. Once there, start at Piazzale Michelangelo to take in the city views from above, then walk down into the historic center. A guided tour takes you through the key spots: Ponte Vecchio with its shops lining the bridge, the Duomo with its distinctive dome, and Piazza della Signoria where you can see the replicas of famous sculptures. After the tour wraps up, the rest of the day is yours to wander around the narrow streets and find a place for dinner, with restaurants scattered throughout the center.

Florence to Venice
Head across the Apennines through mountain scenery and reach Venice. Take a boat over the Giudecca Canal to get to the Island of Venice, then a local guide shows you around St. Mark's Square. Next, stop at the Murano Glass Factory to watch traditional glass-making. You'll have free time to explore on your own, and you'll stay in the Mestre district for the night.

Then drive through scenic mountain roads to Kitzbuehel, a ski village in the area. The day finishes in Salzburg with an evening arrival. Note that if there aren't many travelers, the Venice to Innsbruck portion might be by train instead of coach.

Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna

Travel through lakes and mountain scenery to St. Wolfgang, a well-known pilgrimage destination, then to Traunkirchen on Traunsee Lake. You'll take an included boat cruise to see four castles on the water before getting off in Gmunden. After that, continue on to Vienna, arriving in the evening.
