- Day 2
Whitsunday Islands
Head out early for a day trip to Whitehaven Beach and the Whitsunday Islands. You'll snorkel around the reef and see what's living down there, then grab lunch on the boat while taking in the views. The water here is clear and warm, perfect for getting in the water multiple times.

Airlie Beach
This morning and afternoon are yours to do whatever you want around Airlie Beach. Spend time on the sand, walk through the shops and restaurants along the main strip, or try something more active like skydiving or a scenic flight over the islands if you're feeling it.

Airlie Beach to Magnetic Island
Hop on a coach heading to Townsville, then take a ferry over to Magnetic Island (Yunbenun). Once there, walk some of the coastal trails and keep an eye out for koalas hanging in the gum trees. The water's turquoise and perfect for swimming or trying watersports, and by evening you'll catch the sunset over the bay.

Magnetic Island
Spend your day exploring Magnetic Island however you like. Walk the Forts Walk for views and old WWII structures while looking for koalas, or head to Horseshoe Bay for swimming and relaxing on the sand. As it gets dark, watch for the rock wallabies that come out, then head into town for a free evening at the local bars.

Magnetic Island to Cairns
Ferry back to Townsville this morning, then board a train heading south to Cairns. The ride follows Australia's East Coast and takes most of the day, arriving late in the afternoon. Tonight you'll join an interactive bush food tutorial and dinner where a chef teaches you about native spices and how Aboriginal people used them traditionally before serving you a meal with native game.

Create your own canvas while learning your personal story, and if you want, join an optional sunset boat cruise later on.

Cairns
Your last day has options depending on what gets you excited. Try bungy jumping, skydiving, or whitewater rafting if you want one final adrenaline rush. Or ride the Skyrail cable car through the rainforest canopy, check out Kuranda village, and take the scenic Kuranda Railway back down to Cairns before heading out this afternoon.
