  I am interested in booking the snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef but I am wondering whether I have to book it with the tour or it is possible to add once the tour has started. I am hesitant to book because i wouldn't want to be the only person to book it while the rest of the group is spending the day together on a different activity.

    You do have a choice to book the snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef activity on tour via the guide and the payment would be made on the ground also.

  Is there time to do more than one activity on the last day in Cairns? I'd like to do both skydiving and scuba diving but I will staying on in Cairns for a few days after the tour, just wondering how much time I should allow :)

    There may be an opportunity to do more than one activity on your final day in Cairns, but we would not recommend trying to schedule both skydiving and scuba diving on the same day.
    
    Both activities can take several hours, including transfers and preparation, and are also subject to weather and operator availability. Additionally, there are safety requirements regarding the timing between skydiving and scuba diving, so it is best to do them on separate days.
    
    As you are staying in Cairns for a few days after the tour, we would recommend using those additional days to fit in both activities. Ideally, allow at least 2–3 extra days so that you have some flexibility if an activity is delayed due to weather or availability.
    
    This will also allow you to enjoy the activities without feeling rushed.

    This G Adventures group trip is accompanied by one of our group leaders, otherwise known as a Chief Experience Officer (CEO). The CEO will be the group manager, leader and driver - this person is experienced in the routes travelled and will organize and lead the meal preparations and has experience in cooking a variety of local and international dishes for large groups.
    
    As the group coordinator and manager, the aim of the CEO is to take the hassle out of your travels and to help you have the best trip possible. While not being guides in the traditional sense, you can expect them to have a broad general knowledge of the countries visited on the trip, including historical, cultural, religious and social aspects. They will also offer suggestions for things to do and to see, recommend great local eating venues and introduce you to our local friends.
    
    We also use local guides where we think more specific knowledge will add to the enjoyment of the places we are visiting - we think it's the best of both worlds.

  I am going scuba diving on the GBR from May 22-27, 2025. I would like to plan a trip ending a couple days before May 22 or after May 27 along the eastern coast of Australia lasting 5 10 12 days in a group. I am in my mid 60's and am in good shape (no trouble hiking/walking/scuba diving etc). I have a very flexible budget and would like to see some of the big cities there. I've toured with G adventures5 years ago in Costa Rica. Do you have anything for me?
