The trip will start around 08:00am which you will need to be there before start time. You can book accommodation independently once you have the final list of hostels you will be staying. Im wondering if I need to be able to swim to do scuba diving

If you are interested in this tour you will have to choose the learn to dive option which would require you to know how to swim. If you rather choose the snorkel option, I believe life jackets will be provided so you won't need to be an expert swimmer.

I have my PADI advanced open water. Could I work on my rescue diving certification on this tour?

Yes you can obtain the Padi certification for doing this tour.

Our trips does not include air fares. This trip starts in Cairns @ 08:00 AM and ends in Cairns @ 4:00 PM. So, you would need to book a flight from Sydney to Cairns.

Usually, travellers who choose this trip are used to travelling by boat in the open sea, and don't get seasick. Please note you'll be spending 3 whole days (and 2 nights) in the boat, so this trip is not recommended for people that suffer with seasickness.
