7 Day Western Australia Itinerary, incl. Perth and Exmouth
Western Australia's landscape unfolds across 3,200km, visiting 8 major destinations including Kalbarri National Park, Monkey Mia, and Ningaloo Reef. Daily drives range from 155km to 840km, with stays at Coral Bay Resort and Potshot Hotel.

- Day 1
Perth to Kalbarri (575km)
Leave Perth early and head north to the unique Pinnacles Desert in Nambung National Park. Stop for lunch at Jurien Bay as you follow Indian Ocean Drive. Visit the Pink Lake near Geraldton in late afternoon for the best photos before reaching Kalbarri in the evening. Want the best views? Grab a seat on the right side of the bus and bring a neck pillow for comfort.

- Day 2
Kalbarri National Park
Get to Nature's Window by 6 AM for a sunrise hike without crowds or heat. Take the 3km Grade 3 trek to Z-Bend Gorge for beautiful views but be prepared with good shoes and reasonable fitness. "Early morning hike to Nature's Window was magical - the gorge views are incredible at first light." You can also try abseiling if you're feeling adventurous.

- Day 3
Kalbarri to Monkey Mia (450km)
Travel north through diverse landscapes to the World Heritage Shark Bay area. You'll spend the afternoon at Monkey Mia Resort known for its wild dolphin visits. "Watching the dolphins swim right up to the beach at Monkey Mia was unforgettable. Get there early - they usually appear between 7:30-8:00 AM."

- Day 4
Monkey Mia to Coral Bay (580km)
- Day 5
Coral Bay and Ningaloo Reef
Spend the day exploring the reef. The optional manta ray swim tour ($270) comes highly recommended: "Swimming with manta rays was absolutely worth it. We saw turtles, reef sharks and incredible marine life." Not interested in swimming? Try a glass-bottom boat tour or relax on the beach. The reef starts just 50m from shore, perfect if you're new to snorkeling.

- Day 6
Coral Bay to Geraldton (840km)
- Day 7
Geraldton to Perth (465km)
7 Days in Tasmania, incl. Hobart and Cradle Mountain
Tasmania's wonders span 19 destinations in seven days. From Hobart, visit Russell Falls, Cradle Mountain, Bay of Fires, and Port Arthur Historic Site. Guided walks through national parks offer multiple difficulty options. Includes 6 nights' accommodation and mini-coach transport for approx. $130 per day.

- Day 1
Hobart to Strahan
Leave Hobart early at 7:30 AM and visit Mount Field National Park to see Russell Falls and some of the world's tallest eucalyptus trees. Your journey continues through the Western Wilds to Lake St Clair and Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park. The total drive to Strahan takes 4-5 hours with stops. The West Coast is often cooler and wetter than Hobart so pack warm clothes and rain gear.

- Day 2
Wild West Coast
Take a trek through the ancient Tarkine rainforest to Montezuma Falls, Tasmania's highest waterfall. The walk follows a well-maintained former railway track and takes about 3 hours round trip. Visit the huge Henty Sand Dunes in the afternoon but wear closed shoes. The Gordon River cruise is a good option if you have time ($140). Look for platypus around Strahan at dusk.

- Day 3
Cradle Mountain National Park
Drive to Cradle Mountain (2 hours from Strahan). Pick from several walking options based on your fitness. The Dove Lake Circuit runs 6km on mostly flat ground and takes 2-3 hours. Marion's Lookout is more challenging with some climbing required over 3 hours. A recent visitor shares: "Bring proper hiking shoes and start early - the weather changes quickly here and afternoon clouds often obscure the mountain views."

- Day 4
Launceston to Bay of Fires
Visit Cataract Gorge in Launceston around 9 AM to spot wallabies before crowds arrive. Take a 2.5-hour drive to Bay of Fires to see its orange-lichen covered rocks and white beaches. The water looks beautiful but stays cold all year so bring warm clothes if swimming. Spend the night in Bicheno where you can watch little penguins.

- Day 5
Freycinet National Park
Set aside 4-5 hours for the Wineglass Bay walk. It's a steep climb but offers incredible views. For an easier option try the Cape Tourville lighthouse walk (30 minutes). Take the Great Eastern Drive back to Hobart and stop at wineries along the way. One traveler notes: "Book dinner in Hobart in advance - the popular restaurants fill up quickly, especially on weekends."

- Day 6
Mount Wellington and Wildlife
- Day 7
Port Arthur Historic Site
7 Days East Coast Australia, incl. Sydney and Byron Bay
A coastal adventure spans 4 major stops, featuring surf lessons at Spot X Camp, indigenous walks in Arrawarra, and wildlife encounters at Daisy Hill Koala Centre. Take in Sydney Harbour, Byron Bay beaches, and Brisbane's highlights.

- Days 1-2
Sydney
Start your Australian adventure with two full days in Sydney. Begin at The Rocks historic district early in the morning before 9 AM when the cobblestone streets are quiet. Take the 30-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay to Manly for beautiful harbor views. A recent visitor shared: "Taking the ferry to Manly was a highlight where our guide showed us great shopping, beaches, and this amazing acai bowl restaurant." Your second day in Sydney is perfect for the Coogee to Bondi coastal walk which takes 2-3 hours. Start early to avoid crowds and pack plenty of water since the Australian sun is strong even in winter.

- Days 3-4
Spot X Surf Camp
Take the 9-hour train north to Coffs Harbour and grab a window seat on the left for ocean views. After a 30-minute transfer you'll reach Arrawarra's Spot X Surf Camp with its unique teepee-style beach accommodations. A previous guest noted: "The surf lesson was great but we only had an hour in the water. Consider booking an extra session if you want more practice time." In the afternoon join a kangaroo trek to learn about native plants and spot wildlife. You can also explore coastal walking tracks with views of Solitary Islands Marine Park.

- Days 5-6
Byron Bay
After a 3-hour drive you'll reach Byron Bay, one of Australia's best surf spots. Visit Cape Byron Lighthouse first thing in the morning. It's Australia's easternmost point and offers excellent whale watching from May to November. The town is easy to explore on foot with lots of shops and cafes. Early risers might enjoy booking a dolphin kayaking tour when the water is calmest.

- Day 7
Brisbane via Daisy Hill
What people love about 7-day Australia tours
- 7 Day Perth to Exmouth Explorer & Ningaloo Reef Return - from Perth
Absolutely loved the trip. Our tour guide, Doug, was amazing. Even though the drives were long, they were well planned with loo breaks every 2–3 hours, which made them very manageable. I met wonderful people during the trip and made a lot of new friends. All the accommodations we stayed in were clean and comfortable. I noticed a few comments from others complaining about the wraps provided for lunch, but I personally enjoyed them. The ingredients were freshly cut, with plenty of filling options available. Honestly, it was better than I expected for an Australian outback trip—especially considering we were often driving through the middle of nowhere.
- Super 7 - Seven Day Tour of Tasmania
Super 7 tour. It is ideal for: - People short in time wanting to see a lot; - People who want to listen to music during the tour, all the time and with moderate to high volume; - People- without their own transport; - People that like to travel quite in a rush (no time for contemplation, a couple of hours on top of a mountain, etc.); - People who do not want to spend too much money on accommodation (you can choose between motel and hostel, we choose the motel option); - People who do not care too much about privacy. Not so ideal if: - You are the John Muir type of person; - You want to look quietly to the landscapes and appreciate silence and meaningful conversation (not only in the bus, while contemplating, but also during the walks); - You are a slow traveler, not wanting to see all the things an area has to offer, but rather enjoying it profoundly (less is more); - You are the type of person that easily can spend the whole day at Port Arthur, reading all the comments at every place, thinking about what you´ve read about it before, making connections in your thoughts, enjoying the landscape, etcetera; - You do not like to see other fellow travellers climbing a hill (with an altitude lower than 500 mts Mt Amos is actually a hill) who had never heard of this hill before but choose this walking option just because it is presented as ´challenging´; - You are not a group person.
- Sydney to Brisbane Experience: Bushwalks & Surfing
Molly was a fantastic tour guide and really created an unforgettable week for everyone in the group. Her enthusiasm and kind spirit made us all feel at ease. She also was able to share the history of each place we visited and anecdotes that we wouldn’t have known without her !
