Can you tell me if this July 10 tour is set to go already, even though it seems so far away? Or what happens if there are not enough people, when would you know if it would be cancelled?

    • M

      Marina

      TravelerWritten December 2025

I would be booking Qantas out of Uluru Airport to SYD at 1325h right after the tour ends at 1200h on Fri. Jul. 17. Would that timing work out?

    • Untamed EscapesOperatorWritten December 2025

Our child rate applies to children up to 12 years old. As your son is 17, he would be considered an adult for pricing purposes—but he is absolutely welcome to travel with us.

Please note that travellers under 18 are required to stay in a private room with their legal guardian, so we will ensure a private room is booked for your family.

    • Untamed EscapesOperatorWritten December 2025

At this stage, there are no current bookings for the 10 July 2026 departure. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we'll notify you at least 30 days before departure and provide a full refund if the tour does not go ahead.

    • Untamed EscapesOperatorWritten December 2025

A flight departing from Ayers Rock Airport at 1:35 PM will work perfectly with our itinerary. The tour finishes around midday in Yulara (town centre), which is just a 10-minute drive from the airport. There will be airport shuttle buses running to match all departure flights.

    • M

Could we cancel and obtain a full refund in that scenario if we book and check back with you every so often but the minimum requirement is still not met?

    • Untamed EscapesOperatorWritten December 2025

Please note that if a departure is cancelled more than 30 days before the tour, you will receive a full refund of any fees paid.

If I book this tour but it gets cancelled, I see there are 2 other shorter Uluru tours and am interested in their availabilities in the same time frame for 3 people (4 Day Red Centre Uluru to West MacDonnell, and 3-Day Uluru Kata-Tjuta Kings Canyon).

    • Untamed EscapesOperatorWritten January 2026

None of our other Uluru tours in July cuntly have bookings, so this one is your best bet at the moment.

    • M

      Marina

      TravelerWritten January 2026

I understand 40% is required for deposit and the remainder closer to the trip date. If I do want to switch to the July 10 reverse trip (if adequate #'s), would there be any charge?

    • M

      Marina

      TravelerWritten January 2026

Based on the itinerary's start time of 2pm at the Desert Garden Hotel in Uluru, I just wanted to clarify... Jetstar arrives 1:40pm - is this too late? I'm thinking it would be too late, if so, then I will be looking into booking Qantas, arrival 12:40pm.

    • Untamed EscapesOperatorWritten January 2026

If you wished to change, there would be no admin fee as long as it is done 31 days before the departure. The only change would be change in the cost of the tour itself depending on direction.

    • Untamed EscapesOperatorWritten January 2026

I wish I could say the Jetstar one would work, but it is cutting it rather fine, and I would advise against it. The Qantas one would get you in and give you time to get to the meeting point.

    Asked on June 19th, 2025

I'm super interested in this trip. However, I do just want to check that there is a good mix of male and female attendees signed up to go for the upcoming date. I'm a solo female traveler and I would be much more comfortable booking the trip if I knew in advance that there was a roughly 50/50 split of men and women.

    • Untamed EscapesOperatorWritten June 2025

We do not ask for gender when people book, but if I was to make a presumption based on name, I would say we have majority female on the tour. This matches up with our 60% female, 40% male, that we see across all of our tours. When it comes to our tours, we pride ourselves on inclusivity and ensuring everyone is comfortable and happy with travelling through Australia.

I'd love to see Lake Eyre, and wondered how much time this trip would spend near there, 9r is there an9ther trip that would be better? Is it possible to tie in a flight? Rest of trip looks awesome too!

    Tour Details
    • Untamed EscapesOperatorWritten June 2025

We only make a brief stop around the Lake Eyre area when track conditions are open to all vehicle types. Please note that this stop is not guaranteed on every departure. Do you have a preferred month for travel? We might have other options for Lake Eyre tours.

    • Untamed EscapesOperatorWritten June 2025

Our team is currently working on another option, which I believe will be an accommodated tour. I'm not yet sure when it will be live on our website, so I recommend checking back with us in July for updates on this option.

    Asked on May 27th, 2025

Can you confirm this trip is going for sure with 4 of us booking or do you need additional bookings to have 8? We will be travelling the rest of Australia before joining this trip and we will have smaller hardcase suite case under 26 inches. I assume that is ok? We will not have any pillows. I assume you supply pillows. We will be renting the sleeping bag. How cold will it get at night in the month of August. What about daytime temperature?

    • Untamed EscapesOperatorWritten May 2025

We only need 4 to confirm the tour, so you can book any of them and be safe in the knowledge that we would run the tour, even if it was just your family. Yes those dimensions would be fine. We advise suitcases under 26 inches and 23kg are okay, as we can store them in the trailer. You can then bring small backpacks on the bus with you as day bags, and access your suitcases when we stop for camp each night. We do not supply the pillows. The nights can get chilly, they can drop to around 5 degrees Celsius. Warm clothing is advised for the night time, but when wrapped up in the swag and sleeping bag you will find you will be fine. During the day temperatures range between 16-22, so are very pleasant, especially when enjoying the activities along the way.

    Asked on January 7th, 2025

I was wondering from on which month this might happen because of the temperatures, or what months do have a higher risk for this?

    Accommodation
    Tour Details
    • Untamed EscapesOperatorWritten January 2025

The Red Centre area typically starts to warm up from November each year, with daytime temperatures reaching around 32°C during daylight. However, the temperature at night remains around 15°C. As a result, we do not have a high-temperature policy for overnight camping, and the group will still camp under the stars during the summer months on our tours. To avoid the heat, our guide will schedule hiking and walking activities early in the morning. Given the nature of the area, we recommend that you bring water containers with a total capacity of 3 liters to stay hydrated during the day.

    Asked on December 11th, 2024

Are any of your tours commissionable?

    Operator
    • Untamed EscapesOperatorWritten December 2024

Earn up to 12% on every booking you place. That's an average commission of USD 400 on a booking of USD 5000.
