I’m an experienced hiker, but I wanted the expert guidance of Climbing Mountains for my Western Arthurs Traverse (Tasmania) adventure. Well before the trip, Chris, Mat and the team ensured I was well prepared and set very realistic expectations. On the trip itself, my guide Mat was an absolute professional. He kept us safe and altered our plans to account for some epic bad weather. The Traverse is not for the faint of heart, it’s one of the hardest hikes in Australia - but with Climbing Mountains I felt completely safe. Mat’s guidance and knowledge of the range, as well as his wealth of expertise and information, was exceptional. Climbing Mountains offers epic adventure at reasonable prices, and I will 1000% be planning my next adventure with them.

I was impressed with the food presented at meal times. Fresh salad for the wraps at lunch and hot cooked breakfast and evening meals. The guides had a keen eye for spotting things that needed attention before it became a bigger problem. I was in awe of the guides strength in carrying the extra 10 or more kgs than what I had on my back. All staff were highly professonal and pleasant company all through the experience. A big, big thankyou to all involved.
