Thank you for the 5 stars for our guide, 4 for our Tour, and an entertaining review! Thanks for mentioning that our tour was good value for money and that we enable guests to have numerous experiences in a short period of time. That's ok that it wasn't a perfect fit for you, however thank you for joining our group tour, even though you are not a group person. Operator note - we typically spend 3-3.5 hours at Port Arthur (not the whole day), and around 3 hours walking to Crescent Bay from Remarkable Cave for the remainder of that day. Wishing you all the best and as John Muir might say ""Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt."

Dear Douglas, Thanks for sharing your feedback. We're disappointed that you're disappointed, and wish to apologise for the inconvenience of the bus breakdown. While rare, we do understand that this would disrupt your tour and we worked very hard to get the replacement vehicle to you as quickly as possible. Thanks for also letting us know about your experience with our guide. What you experienced with Wombat is the standard that we expect from all guides (and normally that is what we consistently deliver). It's essential for us to know if something does not meet an expectation, so we value this review as an opportunity to address them. We wish you all the best for your onward travels.

Thanks for sharing those comments. We're sorry this was your experience, Lieve. Although close by, motel guests do stay separately from the multishare/hostel accommodations and our guides generally facilitiate some group dinners together in town at night. Our tours typically attract a diverse range of ages, generally from 20 to 50 years old, but we also welcome more mature and active travellers. Our tours are quite international, and we often have guests from various parts of the world, including Germany. We don't match up solo travellers in private rooms, you would need to choose the dorm share option or the single option.

  • C

We do have single options available in either the hostel option or the motel option. You should find all this information on the tour page. There are no meals included in the tour but there is plenty of opportunities to buy food each day and each town we stay in has supermarkets and restaurants etc. We would recommend a reasonable fitness level to get the most out of the tour however where possible we will always offer different levels of walks from an easy walk to a more difficult walk.
