- LMLorna· August 17th, 2023This was honestly the best way to start my Australia adventure. I made friends and memories for life and fell in love with a city that I look forward to returning to this year. Thank you WTT ????Show more
Welcome To Travel commented on this reviewLorna, the bants which we had this week! From the rooftop hot tub, our viral TikTok (kind of) and genuine great vibes...it was amazing. See you Christmas time for the reunion.Trip date: March 2023 - HHeather· August 16th, 2023Had a great time with Welcome to travel. - LFLucy· August 15th, 2023The welcome to travel tour was the best way to start my trip in Australia, I instantly felt so much more comfortable knowing I had a group doing the same as me. The week was jam packed with loads of fun activities and they helped me plan my whole east coast trip! Would definitely recommend one of their tours to start off your Aus tripShow moreTrip date: February 2023
- LLoisJemmett· August 15th, 2023Great tour to help me settle into Australia as a solo traveller! Met the most amazing friends who I still speak to 10 months later. Would recommend to anyone coming to Aus especially if they would like a helping hand at the beginning.Show moreTrip date: October 2022
- GGGrace· March 22nd, 2023Great week, met some amazing people. Would have been great if they included the botanical gardens, it may have been better than the walking tour which I felt was a bit pointless. Also, when they book your east coast trip for you they don't give a price breakdown which would have been super helpful. All they send you is a massive list of all your tickets, wish I could have seen the price breakdown of what each activity, hostel etc. cost.Show moreTrip date: March 2023
Ania· March 7th, 2023I had an amazing time during my week in Melbourne! Emily was absolutely wonderful. She was attentive and gave the best recommendations. The activities we did during the trip were so much fun especially the surf lessons. The hostel we stayed at was a great location and was safe/ clean. I made a lot of great memories during this week, would highly recommend if doing this trip if you plan to stay in Melbourne for an extended period of time or if you’re just staying for the duration of this tour!Show moreTrip date: February 2023
Kim· January 9th, 2023Such an amazing experience and met some wonderful people on the tour. The two tour guides Emily and Lauren were absolutely amazing and planed a fantastic week for all of us. The welcome to travel team were so professional and even helped me plan out my whole trip up the east coast which I was first find very difficult to do as a solo traveler. It made my trip even more memorable!! Sad to say bye to Melbourne but will definitely be back!!Show moreTrip date: January 2023- BKBrooke· October 9th, 2022Had the best week in Melbourne. Courtney was a fantastic tour guide, had the best week! Would recommend the tour to anyone wanting to come to Australia!Show moreTrip date: October 2022
- MMadelineAndres· September 15th, 2022Every member of the Team (that i met) were so open and nice! It's great to know, that you have someone to call or to Text the whole time you are here in australia. They will help you with everything if you want to and that is amazing!! We have seen so many things in our first week in Melbourne. After 2 days many of us had the feeling that we were already there for at least 2 weeks. It was a great start in australia!Show moreTrip date: September 2022

Asked on October 24th, 2023I see that the trip to Melbourne begins on 23 november, in the brochure the trip begins on a monday? if I come the day before: Will you pick me up from the airport and you bring me to a hostel? Is this hostel booked already ? Also the night after the trip; can I stay in the same hostel?
Welcome To TravelOperator•Written October 2023We have extra departures in summer, this means we have tours that begin on Sunday and tours that begin on Thursday. The first day of the tour is reserved for arriving and checking-in at the hostel with the following day when the tour activities begin. This would be either Monday (Sunday tour) or Friday (Thursday tour). The airport shuttle is part of the tour package and for you to use whenever you arrive. The shuttle only operates within the CBD and takes you directly to Space Hotel, the accommodation used for the tour. If you need extra nights accommodation, we can assist with booking this at Space

Traveler•Written October 2023Thank you, this would mean I could arrive in the evening of thursday, the 23rd of November, and then the Meet & Greet will be on friday the 24th? Or would I have to arrive on Wednesday the 22nd? I believe that there are multiple airports in Melbourne, can I make use of a airport shuttle from either of these airports, also if I arrive quite late in the evening? When I want to stay a couple more nights after the programm, can I book extra nights in the hotel when booking the trip? How do I communicate this with you? I would like to stay untill sundaymorning the 3rd of december (the programm that I want to do ends on the 29th of November).
Welcome To TravelOperator•Written October 2023Thursday is the arrival day and Friday is the Meet & Greet. The shuttle only operates from the main airport in Melbourne which is Tullamarine Airport. There is an option when booking online to choose extra nights with your package, simply select how many extra nights you would like. We have a limit of 3x extra nights that you can purchase for before and after the tour. There is also an option to select these extra nights on a travel form, which we email to all travellers before their tour. If you are booked onto the Melbourne Tour on November 23rd and would like 3x post-nights, this would cover you until the morning of Sunday, December 3rd which is when you would check-out.

Asked on October 12th, 2023Can you help me with that adjustment? I will only arrive in Melbourne on 4th December morning because I would have been on a cruise.
Welcome To TravelOperator•Written October 2023The tour begins early Monday morning (December 4th) at 9am, which is when you need to meet your group and guide and get settled in with introductions and what will be happening for the week.

Traveler•Written October 2023Also wondering if you are able to take me from station pier to the meeting place?
Welcome To TravelOperator•Written October 2023Unfortunately we can only arrange pick-up from Melbourne Tullamarine Airport, so we won't be able to provide pick up from the station pier.

Traveler•Written October 2023Since I arrive on 4th (not the 3rd) will there be some compensation for that i.e. extra night on 9th?
Welcome To TravelOperator•Written October 2023Seeing as our tour starts on the 3rd of December and you were aware of this before booking the tour, we cannot offer any compensation for the first night you lose out on as you decided to book on knowing you'd miss the first night.

Asked on January 26th, 2023Do you still have availability for 12th March? Please may you advise the average age for this tour? Is it likely this tour attracts many solo travellers?
Welcome To TravelOperator•Written January 2023We currently have 13 spaces available for this tour. The ages for our tours range from 18 - 28, with the majority falling in the 18-23 range. We have a few people who travel in pairs but quite a large volume are solo travellers.

Asked on January 8th, 2023If my flight lands early on the 9th of February, is this okay? Really want to do this tour but my plane lands this morning. The itinerary is slightly confusing when referring to needing to be there 'Sunday', as this tour is mid-week.
Welcome To TravelOperator•Written January 2023The date that the tour begins is referred to as "Day 1" in the itinerary, regardless of whether you're on the mid-week tour (Thursday) or the Sunday one. Day 1 is purely reserved for arriving at the hostel, checking-in and relaxing with tour activities beginning on 'Day 2', which for the tour you're enquiring about, would be February 10th. Arriving on the 9th of February will be perfectly fine for this tour.

Asked on October 28th, 2022Could they visit Luna park, Melbourne zoo/ Sealife and/or the hotsprings instead of employment presentations on day 6 and 7? Would this part of the itinerary be flexible?
Welcome To TravelOperator•Written October 2022If the traveler doesn't want to do the 1:1 that is total fine they don't have to. They can also do any of the following but they will have to organise it and it will be an extra cost to them.

Asked on October 14th, 2022Im hoping to join a tour in melbourne around 24th Nov... is there a tour around this date I could join?

This tour is the same format as the Melbourne tour but just Sydney instead.

Asked on July 14th, 2022can you tell me if you are required to be fully vaccinated for this trip?
Welcome To TravelOperator•Written July 2022Whilst it's no longer a gov requirement to be vaccinated to enter Australia, it is still a requirement to join our tours. Also some airlines will also have this policy so best to check with the airline before booking a flight if travelling without a vaccination.
