Unfortunately date has been booked for a private tour group, so we are unable to waitlist. Are you flexible with your dates at all?

Can you provide any further information on the transportation between locations, like duration and if baggage transferred, and secondly if there is any additional cost reductions on the cost offered per person for these dates.

Depending on the group size we usually travel in a 14 or 24 seat mini bus, with the exception of travel from Brisbane to Whitsunday Coast when we currently take a flight. There is a fair bit of distance covered on this trip but we do manage this with lots of stops for activities, food or toilet breaks, so there is opportunity to stretch your legs. We see so many beautiful spots and have a laugh along the way! On travel days it is generally between 4 - 6 hours travel time although from Airlie Beach to Mission Beach it is a longer day. We do stay for two nights in Airlie Beach and Cairns. Depending on the type of bus we use, baggage is transported either in a trailer or in a luggage compartment at the back of the bus. Porterage isn't included in the tour and we do ask that passengers be able to handle their own luggage, the guide is there to assistance if needed with stairs etc. but we do encourage you to only pack what you can manage yourself. With the internal flight tere is a 23kg limit for checked baggage plus a 7kg limit for carry on baggage. Any current special offers are always displayed on the website.

Are there earlier May dates for this trip -- like somewhere in the neighborhood of May 8 plus or minus?

Unfortunately we don't have a departure for this tour earlier in May, the departure before this one is 27Apr25.

No this tour doesn't go to Kurunda.

I am disabled, I have problems with my legs. I can walk but not very far. Is this a problem?

Although we consider this tour to be light active, there is definitely longer walks involved often on uneven surface such as grass or sand. Passengers need to be able to assist with getting their luggage on and off the bus and to their rooms. We also have activities that require getting on and off boats when they are not in dock, so may need to jump in to shin deep water and wade a few metres to shore. There are often stairs to be navigated on this trip as well. Not participating in activities that involved the above would impact the value of this trip for you.

Can this tour be done in reverse? Leaving from Cairns to Brisbane?

Unfortunately we only offer this tour from Brisbane to Cairns.

An unforgettable and memorable experience exploring the east coast of Australia from Brisbane to Port Douglas! It is a stunning part of the world and I so am glad that I went on this tour which enabled me to experience it! I wasn’t really sure what to expect as I’ve never been on a tour of this kind before however I enjoyed every second of it and was sad to see it come to an end. Some of my highlights were exploring and snorkelling around the Whitsunday Islands and also scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef which was spectacular, along with the incredible scenery throughout the tour! The entire tour was very well organised to a high standard, was well paced and transportation was also comfortable, I also found the tour very interesting, educational and thought provoking. I learned things that I never would have known had I not gone on this tour. I must also give a huge shout out to Jason who was a tour leader and he was simply incredible and made the tour so special. His knowledge of the various locations and wildlife was second to none and there were not many questions in which he did not know the answer! He was also extremely friendly and caring and did everything that he could to make sure that the whole group had the best time possible. He was always on hand to help anyone with any problem, no matter how big or small, and he bonded with us and felt like a friend throughout the entire tour. I could not have asked for a better tour leader. This tour was an amazing experience that I will never forget, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!Show more

I had the extreme pleasure to be part of the small boutique tour with Via Travel Australia. Jason, our guide, was a balance of fun, knowledge, great activities and suggestions. It was my first tour in over 10 years and if I had known what an amazing job Jason, Tara, and the rest of the crew at Via does each and every day - well I would have been on a tour with them sooner! Through the recent floods, storms and re-routing…..the team had it covered. We felt safe and taken care of. We had a brilliant group of people; it felt like we were all traveling with friends. I cannot recommend the Via team enough, the hotels, activities, options, meals, ability to turn on a dime, and company were all exceptional.Show more

  We arrive in Sydney on Sept 25th. So yes, that date is fixed. Ill be travelling with my mother who's in her 60s, want something that is a little slower paced, but goes from Sydney to the great barrier reef. Is there anything else you recommend?
