Itinerary
- Day 1
Bari
You'll land in Bari and get picked up at the airport for the drive to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to get settled and rest up after your travels.

- Day 2
Bari
After breakfast, your tour leader takes you on a walking tour through Bari's old center. You'll see the Basilica of San Nicola, the 12th-century Norman-Swabian Castle with its Aragon walls, and the Column of Justice at Piazza Mercantile. The castle costs extra if you want to go inside. The afternoon is free, and dinner happens at your hotel in the evening.

Bari - Trani - Castel del Monte - Alberobello
Your coach heads out after breakfast toward Trani, known as the Pearl of Puglia. You'll walk through the Jewish Quarter and see the white stone cathedral from the 12th century. From there, you continue on to Castel del Monte, that unusual octagonal castle from the 13th century and UNESCO site that's on the Italian one-cent coin. By afternoon you're in Alberobello with its cone-shaped Trulli houses. The day wraps up with local white wine and taralli to welcome you to the village.

- Day 4
Matera
Today takes you to Matera for a day trip. With a local guide, you explore the Sassi di Matera, ancient cave dwellings cut into rock around 9,000 years ago by the Gravina River. These caves are still lived in and used as homes, pubs, hotels, and shops. You'll also see the cathedral overlooking the city. By evening you head back to Alberobello for dinner.

Alberobello - Locorotondo - Ostuni - Lecce
You'll drive through Puglia's white towns starting with Locorotondo, a hilltop spot with countryside views. Next comes Ostuni, a coastal town with whitewashed buildings and ancient olive trees some over 3,500 years old. Lunch gives you a chance to try the local olive oil from these trees on restaurant menus. You'll reach Lecce in the Salento region by afternoon.

- Day 6
Lecce - Otranto - Maglie
A local guide leads you on a 3-hour tour through Lecce, known as the Florence of the South for its Baroque buildings. You'll check out the old town, 12th-century cathedral, the Basilica di Santa Croce, and Piazza del Duomo. After that you travel to Otranto, a city with a multicultural past under Greek, Roman, and Turkish rule. The cathedral here has a famous mosaic floor and holds the remains of 813 martyrs. Your final evening brings a special dinner at Masseria L'Uliveto, a farm restaurant in Maglie serving regional specialties. You'll sleep back in Lecce.

Lecce - Martina Franca - Monopoli - Bari
After breakfast you head back toward Bari across the Murge plateau. Stop in Martina Franca, an elegant Baroque village where you have free time to see Piazza Plebiscito, the Cathedral, Ducal Palace, and clock tower. Later you drive through Valle d'Itria's olive groves and vineyards, stopping at a masseria for lunch and an olive oil tasting of organic extra virgin oil. Before returning to Bari for your final night, you visit Monopoli, a fortified coastal town.
