I can't recommend this past week enough! A very different experience than the usual big groups moving from hotel to hotel every day. Various members of the wonderful family took me out to the beautiful sights of Puglia with plenty of time to look around on my own & then to return each day to my bungalow for a siesta. The meals were perfection, all local dishes with fresh ingredients, 4 star & cooked by Emilio himself, each ingrediant & method explained. The farm setting was beautiful amongst the fruit & olive trees. Though it was a little to early in the season for the pool to be open, I could still sit out in the sunshine & Spring flowers. A unique experience!
Taste of Salento-Authentic Culinary ExperienceThe Highlights of Puglia was a fabulous tour. It was busy but plenty of free time to explore. Puglia has amazing towns and I would suggest everyone should visit the amazing Sassies or cave homes of Matera. Spectacular! Staying in a cave home plus staying in the Trullo houses in Alberobello was a great experience. Puglia and Bascilata regions give a unique taste of southern Italy. Our tour guide was exceptional and made every location exciting.
Highlights of PugliaWe had a wonderful trip. Our guides were excellent and provided detailed explanations of the areas that we visited. We did have some bed weather for two of the days but our tour operators and guides made some changes which was much appreciated without missing what we came to see. Finally our driver on the tour, whilst he did speak English that well and us not speaking Italian, provided us with many insights and we made us all smile with our gestures to each other. Would recommend!
