A wonderful trip for young and old. Emilio and his family were great hosts -- and all were delightful--wife Clara and the children (5), brother Michael, father Antonio. The food was terrific: traditional Puglian dishes, plus special requests. A relaxed atmosphere in an amazing country with personable hosts and the opportunity to share culture, opinions, and make new friends.
Taste of Salento-Authentic Culinary ExperienceI had a stressful start as I was given the wrong flight time to meet up with the group for the transfer to our start city of Matera. After hanging around the airport to catch a shuttle, my tour guide turned up at the correct time to meet the rest of the group. After that the cycle tour was amazing. Well organised, great accommodation, fabulous guide & support staff. I iopted for an ebike which I am glad of as there was some mean hills but great views. The countryside is spectacular. I highly recommend this tour.
Cycling Puglia & MateraWe had a wonderful trip. Our guides were excellent and provided detailed explanations of the areas that we visited. We did have some bed weather for two of the days but our tour operators and guides made some changes which was much appreciated without missing what we came to see. Finally our driver on the tour, whilst he did speak English that well and us not speaking Italian, provided us with many insights and we made us all smile with our gestures to each other. Would recommend!
