Mahé
You'll arrive in Mahé and transfer directly to your Emerald Cruises luxury yacht. From there, you'll head out on your first sailing day toward La Digue, arriving later in the afternoon. This morning sets the tone for your yacht adventure across the Seychelles and East Africa.

Farquhar Group
This morning brings you to the Farquhar Group, a collection of 10 islands and atolls covering 370 square kilometers. You'll see the lagoon ringed by the atoll and dotted with coconut and casuarina trees. Late afternoon offers chances to watch hawksbill and green sea turtles nesting on the beaches.

Aldabra Atoll
You arrive at Aldabra Atoll, located in the southwestern part of the Seychelles, closer to the African coast than to Mahé. This remote UNESCO site ranks among the world's largest atolls and is recognized for its natural features and the incredible range of wildlife found nowhere else.

Aldabra Atoll
Spend the full day exploring Aldabra Atoll. The atoll has four large coral islands surrounding a shallow lagoon and is home to the world's largest population of giant tortoises. You'll see unique flora and fauna throughout the day, many species found only in this specific ecosystem.

Aldabra Atoll
Today focuses on the marine life around Aldabra. The lagoon habitat holds numerous fish species, mollusks, crustaceans, and corals. If you're snorkeling or diving, you might spot hawksbill and green turtles, manta rays, sharks, and dolphins in the surrounding waters.

At Sea

Kilwa Kisiwani
You reach Kilwa Kisiwani, a UNESCO site just off Tanzania's coast. This island was a major trade hub from the 13th to 16th centuries. Walk through the ruins of palaces, bathing pools, and prisons, with the Great Mosque being the main highlight as the oldest standing mosque on the East African coast.

Mafia Island
Sailing north brings you to Mafia Island, one of Tanzania's less-visited gems. The landscape includes coconut and cashew nut plantations, palm trees, tidal mangroves, and baobab trees. Zanzibar
The yacht continues north to Zanzibar, an archipelago called the Spice Islands. You'll explore Stone Town, the historic center and a UNESCO site, walking through narrow streets lined with coral-hewn houses that blend African, European, and Indian architectural styles throughout the area.

Nairobi
Your yacht voyage concludes in Mombasa, Kenya's main port city. You'll fly to Nairobi and transfer to your hotel upon arrival. In the evening, you'll meet your driver-guide and have dinner at the hotel. This transition moves you from the sea to your land-based safari journey.

Samburu Game Reserve
You'll head north via Nanyuki toward the Samburu Game Reserve in Kenya's rugged, semi-arid northern region. After checking into your lodge for a two-night stay, you'll go out on your first afternoon safari drive. You can expect to see large elephant herds, reticulated giraffes, Somali ostriches, and endangered Grévy's zebras.

Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, you'll depart for Lake Nakuru National Park with a stop at Thompson's Falls en route. Lake Nakuru is one of Africa's top game viewing parks, home to lions, Cape buffalo, waterbucks, warthogs, Rothschild giraffes, Burchell's zebras, impalas, and leopards. The park also has black and white rhinos and over 300 bird species. That evening, you'll watch the sunset with drinks and canapes before returning to your accommodation.
