Do you offer any small group tours of the West or Southwest that do not begin at 6 or 7 am every day? Even if we see fewer sights but have a more relaxed start. We are early risers but a that is a little too rushed in the a.m.

Do they have a separate vehicle or does the tour include drop offs at campgrounds as well as hotels? Just a logistical question as I no longer am able to do camping myself! Can you tell me what availability you have for fall and when you will post Spring 2027 dates?

    • Bindlestiff ToursOperatorWritten March 2026

Both campers and lodger proceed in the same vehicle and are dropped off at both hotels and campgrounds accordingly. Our guide camps with the campers and assists with camp set-up and breakdown each day. The guide will drop-off and check-in any hotel guests and then proceed to the campground (which are often very close by). The following day, they will break camp and then proceed to pick-up lodgers to proceed with the tour.

This tour has every Sunday departures through the end of October.

Do you know about when dates for next spring will be posted? Hearing that there will be long waits to enter Arches now that no reserved times are allowed. What is your take on that? Are you considering subbing another park?

    • Bindlestiff ToursOperatorWritten March 2026

Next year's available dates are typically released in Q4. As a commercial carrier with contracts with each National Park, we are sure entry will be provided to all. The itinerary and locations visited on this tour will not be modified.

Would I have to book nights at the palms resort hotel for the night before the tour starts and when the tour finishes?

    Accommodation
    • Bindlestiff ToursOperatorWritten February 2026

We don't offer pre- or post-tour accommodations assistance. You wouldn't necessarily have to stay at the Palms. It's just our location for pickup/dropoff. Many guests stay at more affordable options and take a taxi or a rideshare to/from the Palms for departure and after return.

How far in advance should I book the tour, considering the group size is 1-14 people?

    • Bindlestiff ToursOperatorWritten February 2026

The guest can leave the tour at any point by signing a voluntary leave-of-tour liability form provided by their guide. The guests can then proceed on their own. However, we wouldn't provide any assistance with car rental or accommodations. Colorado is in the opposite direction that this tour proceeds along and is not an option. As we don't operate in that direction (except on a Custom Private Tour basis), we can't make recommendations for other tours or activities or locations to visit.

    • Bindlestiff ToursOperatorWritten February 2026

This specific tour (7 Day Southwest Highlights) is a popular tour and fills up fast so we recommend booking as soon as possible.

Can you explain to me about the food kitty? I notice that no meals are included on this trip. Please help me give my clients a clear expectation.

    Meals
    • Bindlestiff ToursOperatorWritten January 2026

The Food Kitty is a requirement to join this tour to provide 7 lunches. Lodging guests are on their own for breakfast and dinner as they have more options available to them either at on-site restaurants or adjacent to the hotels. Many lodging guests also choose to explore restaurant options in the towns they are overnighting in. Lunches are typically en route or as picnics inside areas visited.
