Budapest
A local guide takes you through Budapest's historical center on a guided tour, showing you the city's key sights. Later in the evening you'll return to the ship for a Gala Welcome Dinner while cruising along the Danube, which gives you nice views of the city from the water.

Bratislava
Your ship docks in Bratislava, Slovakia's capital, and a guide leads you through the Old Town on foot. You'll walk past charming streets and stop at St. Martin's Cathedral, Primatial Palace, Main Square, and Michael's Gate. It's a compact area, so everything's pretty walkable.

Vienna
In Vienna, you'll drive along the famous Ringstrasse to see the city's grand buildings, then walk through the center on a guided tour that includes St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Graben, and Hofburg Palace. After that, you have free time to browse the Naschmarkt stalls (it's a lively food and craft market), and if classical music interests you, there's an optional concert in the evening.

Melk
The ship cruises to Dürnstein, a small town dominated by a hilltop castle where King Richard the Lionheart was held prisoner back in the 12th century. You'll have the morning free to wander the cobblestone streets and check out old townhouses. If wine interests you, there's an optional tasting of local wines, then the ship heads through the scenic Wachau Valley to Melk where a guide takes you through the historic Melk Abbey monastery.

Linz
You've got choices here. One option is a day trip to Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic, a medieval city with over 300 historic buildings to see. Another is heading to Salzburg through Austria, stopping at Mondsee (the church from The Sound of Music movie), with both a guided portion and time on your own. If neither appeals, you can stay in Linz and explore at your own pace.

Passau
Passau is next, and you'll walk through the historic cobblestone lanes of the Altstadt on a guided tour. Then you head to the Aldersbach Brewery, which has been operating since 1268. Local musicians welcome you, you'll tour the brewery itself, and then settle in the festival hall for locally brewed beer and food tastings with live music and singing that feels like Oktoberfest.
