Itinerary
- Day 1
Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
You'll arrive in Nairobi and get transferred to Lake Nakuru National Park. Once you're settled into your accommodation, you can start getting ready for the week ahead. The park sits at about 1,750 meters elevation, so the air feels crisp and cool. Spend the rest of your day relaxing and acclimating before the game drives begin tomorrow.

Landmarks Lake Nakuru National Park - Day 2
Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara Game Reserve
After leaving Lake Nakuru, you'll head toward the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, which takes several hours by road. The drive takes you through different landscapes, and you'll notice how the terrain changes as you get closer. By evening you'll arrive at your lodge and have time to settle in before your first game drive.

Landmarks Maasai Mara National Reserve - Day 3
Maasai Mara Game Reserve
This is a full day in the Maasai Mara. You'll go on game drives looking for lions, elephants, zebras, and other wildlife throughout the reserve. If you're interested, there's an optional hot air balloon ride that gives you a different view of the landscape and animals from above. Most visitors find the ground game drives alone offer plenty of sightings.

- Day 4
Maasai Mara to Lake Naivasha
You'll leave the Mara and head to Lake Naivasha, which is a freshwater lake about 60 kilometers northwest of Nairobi. The journey takes a few hours by vehicle. Once there, you can take a boat tour to look for birds and hippos, or just relax by the water. The area is much quieter than the Mara and offers a different type of wildlife experience.

Landmarks Lake Naivasha - Day 5
Lake Naivasha to Amboseli National Park
From Lake Naivasha, you'll travel to Amboseli National Park near the Tanzanian border. The drive is long but worth it for what you'll see. Amboseli sits at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro, and on clear days you get excellent views of the mountain from the park. You'll arrive in the late afternoon and have time to rest before tomorrow's activities.

Amboseli National Park
Spend your time at Amboseli on game drives looking for large elephant herds, buffaloes, and other wildlife with Mount Kilimanjaro forming the backdrop. The mountain views are particularly good in the early morning and late afternoon. If you're interested in learning about local culture, you can take an optional trip to a Maasai village to meet locals and see how they live.

Landmarks Amboseli National Park - Day 7
Departure
You'll begin your journey back home, leaving Amboseli and heading toward Nairobi for your flight out. The drive gives you time to reflect on what you've seen over the past week. By the time you leave Kenya, you'll have experienced several different parks and habitats across the country.
