Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Dades Gorge
You'll leave Marrakech early morning and head into the High Atlas Mountains with stops along the way to take in the scenery. The day centers around the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that's well worth the time. After that, you'll check out Ouarzazate's film studios and explore the Kasbah Taourirte. Then it's on through the Skoura oasis and Rose Valley before reaching Dades Gorge, where you'll stay overnight.

- Day 2
Dades Gorge to Merzouga
Following breakfast, you'll head to the impressive Gorges du Todgha, then continue toward Merzouga by way of Tinjdad with a lunch stop. You'll pass through Erfoud and Rissani, then have a two-hour camel ride across the Sahara Desert. By evening you'll reach Merzouga and settle into either a hotel or desert camp right at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes for your overnight stay.

- Day 3
Merzouga
After breakfast you'll spend the day in the Merzouga region. You can meet with the Gnawa people and learn about their music and way of life, then head to Merzouga lake to see the bird populations there. Later, you'll shop for Berber handicrafts at Maison du Fil Nomade. As the day winds down, you'll go on a camel ride across the 250-meter Erg Chebbi dunes to catch the sunset, then return to your Berber tent for dinner and an evening performance.

- Day 4
Merzouga to Agdz
You can get up early to catch the sunrise at Erg Chebbi if you like, then travel through the Drâa valley and pass Tazzarine (you might recognize it from the film 'Babel'). Stop for lunch at a N'Qob restaurant with panoramic views across the Little Atlas landscape. The route follows an ancient caravan path through the Draa Valley with its palm groves and old villages, and you'll arrive in Agdz by evening for your overnight stay at a riad or kasbah.

Agdz to Marrakech
Start with breakfast, then visit the Tamnougalte Kasbah before heading back toward Ouarzazate across the Tizi-n-Tinfifte mountain pass at 1660m elevation. In Ouarzazate, you'll cross over to the Fint oasis, which is kind of a hidden spot tucked between mountain tracks. From there you'll return to Marrakech, passing through Merzgane Ighrem and crossing the Tizi-Tichka pass to arrive in the late afternoon.
