What people love about Sahara Desert Tours
- Moroccan Desert Adventure: River Canyons & Camels
Great tour covering many aspects of Morocco (city bazaar shopping, camel riding in the desert, and mountain villages) in a short amount of time. Be prepared for lots of driving and minimal free time, I’d suggest spending a couple of days extra after the tour in a nice hotel for some relaxing. Overall I’d recommend it and it’s made me want to return and explore the other cities.
- Imperial Cities & Sahara Discovery Tour from Marrakech
Honestly the guides and tour was amazing! The only thing that made it a bit annoying were 2 women who were on the tour. They were some of the most awful humans I have ever encountered and because of one of them yelling at the staff at the hotel and our guide for helping her, it made us 30 minutes late to depart. That then was a snowball effect which caused me to miss the ruins. So I was bummed about that; however, the professionalism of the guides with the 2 women who never once apologized for their behavior, their derogatory comments, (the list can go on) was outstanding. Issam, Moncef, and Fouad all were so respectful to them and never stopped providing 5 star hospitality to them. That speaks volumes for the tour company and the employees. The accommodations were amazing along with the food. 100% would recommend! Traveling solo as a female, I never once felt unsafe or disrespected. Because of the staff, I will be going back to Morocco!
- 4 Days / 3 Nights Sahara Experience
We had an excellent time on this tour and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Everything from the very beginning, booking the tour to the end being dropped at our hotel was seamless and smooth. Ali was very helpful during the booking and mustapha and our driver Hamid were equally excellent. The tour was well planned and both mustapha and Hamid provided insights and knowledge along the way, as well as ensuring we had the best possible time with them. The desert is amazing and completely worth the long drives to get there. We will treasure our gift of Sahara sand! Thanks again.
Travel Sahara Desert your way
The Atlas Mountains offer some fantastic treks that really show off Morocco's mountain scenery and genuine Berber culture. You'll climb through the Tizi n'Tichka pass reaching 7,415 feet, where paths wind past terraced farmland and traditional villages. Our travelers especially love stopping at local homes for tea and seeing daily life in these quiet mountain communities. The mountain gîtes where you'll stay are simple but authentic - and after a long day of walking, there's nothing better than visiting the local hammam to relax those legs. If you're up for more of a challenge, we can take you to the bright blue lakes between Jebel Anghomar and Jebel Tamda. For an easier pace, the Ouarikt Valley trails lead past waterfalls and summer grazing lands where you might catch nomadic shepherds tending their flocks.

Fall brings some of our most popular desert journeys. The 13-day Morocco tour from Casablanca lets you explore Hassan II Mosque in just the right weather before heading into the desert. Our travelers give high marks to the Imperial Cities route in autumn - you can properly enjoy walking through ancient medinas and climbing kasbahs without overheating. A number of tours connect the Sahara experience with stops in Tangier, Chefchaouen and also the Rif Mountains, where the hiking conditions are just right. The autumn temperatures work perfectly for both city walks and desert camping - you'll spend comfortable mornings in the souks and cool evenings watching the sun set from camelback.
