Itinerary
- Day 1
Hobart
You'll land in Hobart by 3 pm and get settled into your city center accommodation. Once you've had a chance to freshen up, you're heading to Bonorong Animal Sanctuary for a 2.5-hour night tour. This is where you'll come face-to-face with Tasmania's native wildlife, and the guides will fill you in on the endemic species that call the island home. It's a good introduction to what you'll be seeing throughout the week.

- Day 2
Hobart - Bicheno
After breakfast, you'll drive to Triabunna and catch a ferry out to Maria Island National Park. The day involves walking through historic ruins, along dramatic fossil cliffs, and past sweeping bays. Keep your eyes open for wombats, kangaroos, geese, and if you're lucky, Tasmanian devils in their natural habitat. From there, you'll continue along the east coast to Bicheno where you're settling in for two nights.

- Day 3
Bicheno - Freycinet Peninsula
You'll grab breakfast and drive to Coles Bay for a 4-hour cruise along the dramatic granite coastline of Freycinet National Park. The distinctive pink peaks of the Hazards Range come into view, and you'll pass white sand beaches, remote Schouten Island with its little penguins, and sea caves. Later in the afternoon, head to Friendly Beaches and join an evening tour at a private property to watch blue penguins in their natural breeding habitat.

- Day 4
Bicheno - Launceston
The drive continues east to the Bay of Fires, where orange granite cliffs meet white sandy beaches and turquoise waters. You'll do a short hike exploring the coastline and then visit St. Columba Falls, Tasmania's highest waterfall. From there, you're traveling through lush green valleys to Launceston, the state's second largest city, where you'll be staying for the final night of your trip.

Launceston
This morning includes a city tour of Launceston with a visit to Cataract Gorge, where the South Esk River winds through steep granite cliffs. The tour finishes up at the Launceston transit center around 11 am, and your trip comes to an end.
