Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Bilbao
You'll arrive in Bilbao and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Get settled and rest up for the days ahead.
- Day 2
Gernika - Bilbao
After breakfast at the hotel, head out to explore the Bilbao estuary and its industrial past. You'll see the Bizkaia Bridge, pass Butrón Castle, check out the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve, and catch a view of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe from a distance. Stop in Bermeo (a working fishing village) to try some pintxos, then drive to Gernika to visit the Casa de Juntas and the historic Tree of Gernika. Back in Bilbao by 2:30 PM, you'll grab lunch during your free time. Later, take a guided walking tour through the city center and old town to get familiar with the layout and history.

- Day 3
Saint-Jean-de-Luz - San Sebastián - Bilbao
Start with breakfast, then head to Biarritz across the border in the French Basque Country to see its most scenic spots and famous landmarks. From there, move to Saint-Jean-de-Luz, a small coastal village where you'll taste a local specialty pastry. Continue to San Sebastián for a walking tour and time to explore on your own. Before heading back to Bilbao, take in the views from Mount Igueldo for a nice perspective of the city and coast.

Laguardia - Vitoria - Bilbao
After breakfast at the hotel, travel into the Rioja wine region where you'll drive through vineyard landscapes and small towns. Stop in Laguardia to walk around its medieval center, then tour a traditional winery with a tasting session and some free time to browse. Next, drive to Vitoria for a panoramic overview and a walking tour of the city center and historic quarter, which includes a tasting of regional Basque chocolate. You'll be back in Bilbao for the evening.
