  Long travel days to and from the Rockies but we were aware this would be the case. It was definitely worth the travel to experience the magnificence of the scenery. The tour was well organized and tour guide Lillian, although admitting English was not her first language was easy to understand, friendly, very knowledgeable and always made sure everyone was up to date with travel plans, departure times etc. The fact that we had different groups joining or leaving throughout the trip would have made logistics much harder for Lillian but she managed without any issues. The bus was comfortable and it was great there were only 38 people on the tour so didn't feel squashed, although not sure how a select few had the front two rows saved for them. The toilet on the bus was out of action but there were plenty of rest stops so this was not an issue. We were a bit disappointed that the bus driver did not stop when we saw some moose on the side of the road but maybe this was a safety issue The hotels were very clean and comfortable with easy check in requiring only collection of pre organized room keys. Breakfasts were very good at the hotels in Clearwater, Banff and Vernon but the Whistler Inn in Jasper was poor. They rushed us through with limited seating and only supplied, juice, pre buttered whole meal toast, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and bacon. As we were leaving the dining room they were putting out cereal, yogurt, fruit, pastries etc. for the next tour group so felt we were treated as a budget group which the other hotels didn't. My only complaint about the tour was that it was difficult to find out much about the tour, times, numbers, tour guide etc. before the tour commenced. We were given a pickup point a few kms from our hotel only to find a large group were picked up at a hotel only about 500m from our hotel. With a group of 11 including five children that pick-up point would have been much easier. Overall, a well-organized and enjoyable tour where we saw and experienced the highlights of the Rocky Mountains.Show more

We would also like to clarify that the seats in the front rows are optional reserved seats that some guests choose to purchase in advance, which is why they may appear to be held for certain passengers. Thank you as well for your comments regarding the breakfast experience at Whistler’s Inn in Jasper. We’re sorry to hear that the arrangement there did not meet the same standard as the other hotels on your trip. We will share your feedback with the hotel and our supplier, and we will also take this into consideration when coordinating future arrangements and reviewing our hotel selections. Regarding the pickup location, the first-day pickup and final-day drop-off are normally limited to designated locations. During the tour, hotel pickup and drop-off arrangements are generally coordinated by the tour guide. If your comment was referring specifically to the first-day pickup point, we understand that a closer designated location would have been more convenient for your group, especially when travelling with children. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We truly value both your positive comments and your constructive feedback.   Gary the tour guide was very professional and considerate of passengers needs and gave us all plenty of opportunities to enjoy the wonderful sights. The group got along very well even though many countries were represented. There was a lot of driving each day and Gary did his best to keep us all cool. However the little bus he was given for such a long trip and nearly full struggled to support individuals needs with temperature. A bigger coach wouldnt been so much more appropriate and was what we all thought we would be travelling in. The little bus was not a great choice by the company!! The hotel in Jasper Lobstick, was not comfortable for sleeping. Breakfast each day was great. The tourist stops were appropriate however some didn’t need as long a stop and more time on the road could’ve reduced the big days driving late at night. I don’t think lunch package was necessary it seemed to create more stops than needed. We did enjoy the tour, it seems all the other people booked in different ways and we were all put together. Original itinerary seemed to be different from the itinerary that was given.Show more

Because our tours operate as shared group experiences, vehicle sizes are assigned based on the final number of passengers booked for that specific departure. However, we sincerely apologize that the temperature control on the assigned bus struggled during the longer drives, and we will have our fleet maintenance team look into this immediately. Regarding your stay at the Lobstick Lodge in Jasper, we are sorry to hear it was not comfortable for sleeping. Please note that to protect the natural environment, many hotels within the Canadian National Parks do not have air conditioning installed, which can occasionally affect comfort during the warmer summer months. We will, however, keep your feedback in mind for our future hotel arrangements. We also want to shed some light on the meal package and itinerary sequence. The group lunches are offered as an optional add-on strictly for convenience, as local restaurants in towns like Banff and Jasper often have very long wait times during peak season. We do hear your point about the extra stops, and we will review our stop durations to see how we can reduce late driving. Additionally, because this is a shared tour with guests joining from various booking platforms, slight sequence adjustments to the itinerary are sometimes made to accommodate logistical needs, though we always ensure all promised attractions are visited.   After a bit of a rocky first day we really liked our guide, Gary. The sights were beautiful. However, the company itself seemed a bit disorganized. We were picked up at our hotel and dropped off at another one without any really instructions about what to expect. Half of our group switched to new people halfway which was confusing and disappointing since we were enjoying getting to know the people. Say three was a little too fun of activity and was really exhausting.Show more

  Guide was not confident in speaking English and told us on the first day that he wouldn’t be talking while driving . Plus he said he needs to concentrate on driving. I felt rushed from place to place n at one point he locked the van door with all the passengers in it (when he popped in to check the reservation) did he think we were going to run away, we asked to hop out n wait on the footpath . But no. Next minute he turned n locked the van with the remote. “We commented, did he just lock us in) The little commentary he did give in attractions no one could understand , so we gave up asking questions. While a nice fellow, I would not wish to go on another tour with him as a driver. Disappointing. The company on the bus made up for the tour guide, who really was just a driver. I hope others feedback reach you too as it was quite a discussion in the tour.Show more

Regarding the lack of commentary while driving, please know that passenger safety is our absolute highest priority. Navigating the winding mountain roads of the Canadian Rockies requires intense concentration. For this reason, our driver-guides are instructed to prioritize safe driving and minimize distractions while the vehicle is in motion, saving most of their commentary for when the vehicle is stopped or just before arriving at attractions. However, we completely understand your frustration if this policy was not communicated politely, or if the on-site explanations were lacking. We also want to deeply apologize for the incident where the van was locked while you were inside. Drivers will sometimes lock the vehicle to secure passengers' personal belongings when stepping away briefly to check a reservation. However, locking guests inside without clear communication or denying them the option to step out is absolutely not the standard of customer care we strive for. We are addressing this specific incident with our team to ensure better communication and judgment are exercised in the future. Finally, we understand that the pacing felt hurried. Covering the vast distances between Banff, Jasper, and Yoho National Parks in just five days requires a rigorous schedule to ensure our guests see as many of the iconic highlights as possible.   Our tour covered some great scenery & lovely towns- The 5 days were packed with things to see & do & we enjoyed it all. Our guide Gary was a lovely person & was great , reliable & covered a lot of places- my only concern was his language- his English was lacking & sometimes hard to understand but also he did not impart much information to us in regards to the places or history or culture- when asked questions he was sometimes unsure of answers( I think due to language- not his knowledge) We had a small group so he was more flexible with us and we thoroughly enjoyed our adventures.   Fantastic tour worth every penny and more ,saw the most amazing places , sights , lakes , mountains, waterfalls and wildlife . Bears , elk , moose golden eagle. Couldnt justify the cost of the "mountain train" as a solo traveller . For a 1/3rd of the price saw the same places,the same wildlife and geographical highlights ,in fact probably more. Big shout out to brilliant Bolan our knowledgeable guide, nothing was too much trouble. Made friends for life from across the globe.
