Arrival in Baveno
You'll arrive at either Milan Malpensa or Turin Airport and make your own way to Baveno, a charming lakeside town on Lake Maggiore. After settling in, the rest of your day is free to wander the waterfront, stroll through quaint streets, or relax while taking in the lake and mountain views. This evening you'll join other travelers for a welcome dinner at the hotel.

Baveno
This day is entirely yours to explore Baveno at whatever pace suits you. Stop by local cafés, take leisurely walks along the lakeside paths, and spend time looking across the water toward the Borromean Islands. There's no rush, just time to get a feel for this corner of the lake.

- Day 3
Borromean Islands Excursion
You'll head out on a full-day included boat excursion to the Borromean Islands. Start at Isola Bella to tour the famous Baroque Palace and wander through its terraced Italian gardens. From there, sail to Fisherman's Island (Isola dei Pescatori), the only permanently inhabited island, where you'll have free time for lunch and can visit the Church of San Vittore. The day finishes at Isola Madre with its 20-acre English botanical gardens and a 16th-century Borromean family summer home.

Lake Orta Excursion
After breakfast, you'll travel by coach to Omegna at Lake Orta's northern tip, then drive through charming villages as you head toward the southern end of the lake. A boat takes you to the medieval village of Orta, sometimes called 'Venice without water' for its narrow cobbled streets, picturesque layout, and chapels honoring St Francis of Assisi. You'll return to the hotel in the afternoon.

Locarno Switzerland Excursion
Following breakfast, you'll travel by coach through the Ossola Valley to Domodossola, then board a narrow-gauge railway for a scenic ride. The route crosses 83 bridges and passes through 31 tunnels on its way to Locarno, a Swiss town at Lake Maggiore's northern tip. You'll have free time there for lunch, shopping, and sightseeing before the coach returns you to the hotel in the afternoon.
