  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Zurich

    You'll arrive at Zurich Airport where an Emerald Cruises representative meets you and takes you to your Star-Ship. After getting settled, you'll meet the captain and crew, then have dinner on board with your fellow passengers this evening.

  2. Day 2

    Freiburg - Breisach

    You'll spend time in Freiburg, walking through the old town center where you'll see colorful half-timbered houses and the busy market square. The botanical garden is worth checking out if you want to see a wide range of plants. If you're up for something more active, there's a guided bike tour that takes you around the medieval town of Breisach, and you'll get nice views of the Rhine River along the way.

    After docking in Kehl, you'll take a coach to Strasbourg where a guided tour shows you the cobbled squares, boutiques, and cafes throughout the UNESCO World Heritage Old Town. Petite France stands out with its canals and half-timbered houses. The afternoon is free to explore on your own, or you can join a guided walk to Orangerie Park if you want more activity.

    Mannheim

    You'll have a choice today between two different experiences. Head to Schwetzingen Palace and walk through the grounds where you'll find over 100 sculptures scattered throughout the gardens, or if you prefer getting outdoors, take a guided hike through the vineyards around Bad-Dürkheim, a wellness town in the region. If you want to add more to your day, there are optional guided tours available to either Heidelberg or Rüdesheim, so you could combine activities depending on your energy level and interests.

At Koblenz, an orientation walk takes you through cobbled squares and narrow streets. You'll visit the German Corner where two rivers meet and see the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, one of Europe's largest.

    This morning you'll head to Keukenhof Gardens, where they've got over 800 varieties of spring flowers including tulips, hyacinths, and orchids all arranged in different displays. You can learn how landscape architects work with these plants and what goes into the different planting methods. Later in the afternoon, you'll try your hand at painting traditional Dutch clogs while on board your Star-Ship.
